No it wasn't. He controlled it with his hand. Aye it mightn't have been deliberate but neither was Mbemba's the other night. He didn't control it deliberately. Never a handball decision. Mbemba was deemed to handball it deliberately. I wasn't so sure myself though oddly the more I watched it the more I did agree it was a penalty.

The one main positive we should take if it does happen is a player wanting to be here. It seems quite clear reading the reports we are his first choice.

For how much he cost us no one can say he hasn't been a good buy over the whole length of his stay here. Especially if we walk away with £8m.

Needs to learn when to hold the ball up and draw a foul and relieve some pressure. Also needs to learn to get out the way of goal bound shots although I did see a small sign of that already with Dummett's goal Had him down for 0-5 goals this season.

Same old, though, isn't it? Create decent opportunities but continue to fluff them. Normally we don't even create chances Nah, we've been creating decent chances for a while now. They just result in woeful finishing. De Jong vs Villa and Wijnaldum v Arsenal in particular. Thought if Perez took that one in the first half on his left as well, it would've gone in. I can think of a couple of good chances in each of the last 4 games but no more. I remember when we used to create dozens.
