I was referring to the past if you re-read my posts. As was everyone else unless the definition of "Myth" has changed.

Boro was my first thought as they are out the cup and MK Dons aren't.

This. Don't mean to be harsh Ian but you've got your head in the clouds on this one.

Wasn't it proved in the KK lawsuit that the club had been deliberately bidding low? I remember an interview he gave (think it's on YT) that he'd (KK) get the price the club wanted and the wages the player wanted then would sit back to find out the club had offered lower and then just pulled the plug. Ok they may bid but they have been proved to of done this deliberately knowing it won't get accepted in the past.

KK proved it in a court of that this is what they did. What more evidence do you need?

Aye, get some moral victory against our relegation rivals etc. And when we loose?

I got an email saying it's closed. I had an email just the other day saying it's been extended to Feb 1. Ditto. Extended to 1st Feb.

For the sake of two weeks Levy will be hoping to get nearer £14m than £10.5m as our need to buy is greater than their need to sell.

How? It states he'd rather join someone else. West Brom prefer our bid apparently. Hope so but will be surprised if he joins. What's the point in signing someone who has commitment issues at best who is clearly not committed in the first place? That's the one positive I'm taking from the Townsend deal as he seem hell bent on joining us.

The frequency the commentators make a big deal of a big/decent away following from a southern team coming north (of Watford) . Try travelling from Newcastle to everywhere you muppets!

I think he'd make enough of a difference. He's got the potential to take a game by the scruff of the neck, and some real nous. You don't need amazing to stay up, you just need to improve on the glaring weaknesses in the middle (defence and midfield)... Starting Saivet ahead of all their midfielders when he's played less than 40 minutes for you . They're in the top half despite having a dodgy keeper and defence, and a big lump up front. Their midfield can't be that bad. I get that every football forum is like this, but it's dangerously RAWKish. Thing is you missed out that I had said earlier I was a fan of Shelvey as he's got an eye for a pass which I love I just didn't think he'd be a great fit in with our current team. Happy to review this opinion after a season or two. He's off to a great start though but my concerns are can those around him maintain the rise in their performances

Thought the ref was good. Nice to see him play on when challenges were made that were 50/50 which a lot of refs seem intent on seeing a foul one way or the other. Game had a good flow about it.

Although I'm not a big Berahino fan I have to agree with this. Bellamy had two serious injuries by the time we bought him. Either knee or ACLs.

Diame - the attacking midfielder? But aye looked a little light weight. Early days. Better for him to start a game and feel his way into it rather than coming on when the game is at 100% I believe a midfielder should be good at both. Both what? I've seen Hull a few times this season and Diame's been in the #10 position. He seems to get stuck in but doesn't strike me as a midfielder whose main concern and ability is stopping attacks and passing the ball quickly and forward. I think that's what we need alongside Jonjo. I think Colback is meant to be a hard working passer but it's always sideways. And i'm not sure what Anita is meant to be good at... same thing I suppose. Remember him playing deeper in his Wigan days but perhaps his role has changed since then and West Ham.

Bellamy didn't cost £18 million. Bellamy cost £6.5m in 2001. I don't have 'average fee' data over the years, so I thought I'd reference the British transfer record instead. At that time Rio Ferdinand was the most expensive British transfer at £29,100,000. Nowadays that record goes to Gareth Bale, at £85,300,000. That is 2.93 times how much Rio cost. Bellamy's £6.5m * 2.93 = £19,053,265. So you're right. We shouldn't be paying £18m, we should be paying £19m. Was waiting for someone to do that

I wouldn't have him on penalties either mind. I agree with those saying it was a poor penalty. Not surprised to see he'd had his two previous efforts saved.
