Him and Emre were good together, mind. I'm waiting for the punchline?

Apparently the plan is for the England fans to join in with the French national anthem.

Same. Honestly the open training sessions were some of my best days out as a kid, getting autographs and photos with the players, it's a massive shame how any sort of connection between players and fans has been lost. Used to love going down to Maiden Castle as a kid. I Used to take my premier league sticker book down with me and get the players to sign their stickers. Loved it. Did my UG degree at Durham - went there almost every day. It was amazing watching Asprilla, Ginola, Shearer, Ferdinand etc. from literally a few yards away. I've loads of photos of that squad a neighbour give me who used to be down there weekly. Nothing exciting but might upload them one day.

Bowyer was woeful for us.

McLaren came out and openly complained about the pre-season arrangements. no real research or thought had gone into them. carver was mouthing off towards the end of last season how he was already making plans with charnley for preseason training and friendlies. He didn't when I critised them on radio when I spoke to him. He defended them and said they were still useful for the whole squad.

Don't rate him at all. Every time I've seen him he's been poor. Wouldn't go anywhere near him.

Well you raised him

Tackling with the wrong foot is always dangerous.

I know where you're coming from but it could be said he fired us into the Europa league in his first half season and then saved us from relegation 2 out of the next 3 seasons.

Only football related film I've enjoyed is this... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Firm_(1989_film) It was remade awfully in 2009 which highlights the many changes in football supporters tastes and cinema goers in general over that timespan. All for the worse.

Harsh man, the book isn't a masterpiece but I think it's decent. It's weak as piss. Maybe ok for someone who hasn't reached their teenage years at a stretch. It was dull which when it's about football and in particular NUFC that's quite an achievement.

It's an awful movie made from an equally awful book.

Villa players show great insight there

He's been doing a fashion shoot for a friend recently iirc. Don't think he's usually that radical

Gullit excellent on GOS.

They were broke.

The list is endless on that front.

If they were a good team they would have scored five today. They are a well organised, hard working championship team. I like their style, which I put down to their manager, but they don't have good players. They are missing all their best players don't forget. Wilson alone would've won it for them with his finishing.

Edit: Change A Great to Our Best.

Woo woo woo... Chancel Mbemba... Woo woo woo... He's a great defender... Woo woo woo... He never gives the ball away... Absolutely awful

source? I put the full story in one of the threads a while back if you want to search for it. Basically my mate was sat with Charlie Wooster on a train and got talking to him (After Carver/Chelsea away game). All I can find is you've said he's not as good as hoped. That's it. It wasn't this thread if that's all you searched but that was it in a nutshell
