He'll end up back here and we'll have him and Thauvin on the books
-
Going to this simply to tick the new Ethiad off my list of grounds visited. Wished I'd ticked it off my list last season for the cup game
-
The worry I have about Thauvin form can never recover... What seems like a loss of pace. Clutching at straws that it's down to fitness but worrying when you see a player running back and they can see a player getting away from them that they revert to dropping their head as if it might give them a bit more speed. I notice Charlie Austin does this a lot also. I even do it now! Would suggest they are not as quick as they rembered being which is worrying at his age.

f*** off. Take you think he'll get 15+ goals this season?
-
Might be worth seeing how he looks against someone other than Man U or Chelsea before deciding he's no goal threat. I agree he's played against two good teams. Time will tell. We are better with him in our team for sure as we are so poor at ball rentention. Maybe poll worthy on how many goals people will think he'll score?
-
Looks very slow. Don't see a lot of goals in him. Held the ball up well. Basically we have what we had with Shearer in his final year.
-
We are 6 points worse off than last season. We've got relegation written all over us.
-
A spirited 0-0 is the best I can foresee.

Disagree. Abolish the loan system and restrict squad and playing staff and subs bench. This would solve it in an instant as player quality would be forcibly spread amongst the league. All these players on loan and on these benches would be plying their trade elsewhere under contract. It's a very simple fix but the turkeys rarely vote for Christmas.

Maybe. He'll shove Mbemba there and bring in Williamson would be my guess.

I can confirm this story is accurate. first bit or second bit? or is it all true. First bit. I'm a friend of a close relative to one of his teammates. Dare say that makes the second part true also.

I can confirm this story is accurate.

Heard he was canny going forward but looked woeful defensively. Anyone care to comment?

This is the f***ing killer. Even at his fattest, most disinterested and greedy HBA would at least get you off your seat once a game. Yep. Both posts sum it up nicely.

Get the team he wants to play against Chelsea out there and try and work out as many kinks as possible before the weekend. This lot need to play together. Totally agree but like UB says they should've done that last round. Already looks like they are "protecting" a few... http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-facing-injury-crisis-10111366

Gouffran. To be fair to him, Gouffran at least had a small purple patch where he scored a few goals. I'd go with Amalfitano personally. I'd go CabellAa talking into account of the fee paid - personally I think Carr is part of the problem also and if I was Ashley would clear the entire board and start again but he won't as we all know Gouffran was a AP signing. Cabella looks to be his worst signing as said above due to the outlay and the fact they've not given him a second chance/season. Gouffran repaid his relatively small transfer fee in his first few months at the club. Sadly since he did he's been misused in a number of ill fitting positions.

Considering the turnover of players last couple of seasons could do worse than get them away on a few team building exercises. Could do them a world of good.
-
No. Awww shiiiiit Although we still might end up with Cabella back.

The derby is going to be like watching this

Enjoyed it but not sure where Tim Vickery comes into the equation?
