I'm pretty sure the bloke genuinly didn't "want to die" like. In reality he more than likely chose to end his life as he believed it was the only way to end his suffering (whether or not you or me deem his circumstance worthy of killing yoursel over is a differant matter). It's easy to sit back and say "he could have gotten help" or "he could have ridden the storm", but if HE saw these as viable options then i'm pretty cirtain he would have took them. I'm not saying anyone who comits suicide is deserving of great sympathy, but if the reason your choose not to sympathise with them is because "it's there choice" then I think you need to look at the bigger picture.

I don't think I can think of a better example of "captain material" than Nolan in the league. Most captains are picked because they've either been at the club for a long time or are the clubs best player, Nolan has all the qualities that a captain 'should' have though.

I find it equally strange that, for many people, it would apparently have been okay if Jol, Klinsmann or O'Neill were brought in.
