I agree with Gallowgate Flags decision to not get involved like, it was far too soon and obviously never had much planning behind it. No reason at all to put the fund up on the same day as his death.

GallowgateFlags (or atleast some involved in it) and Mick Martin decided they were going to tell everyone he was a scammer because of a mix up (they thought he was claiming to be acting on behalf of GF, he clearly wasn't) Worst of all when it was patently clear he wasn't they never apologised. The lad seems pretty distraught over it like, as you can imagine (talk of the police being involved), and has since refunded any donations. The saddest thing is GF have done a lot of great work and this undermines a lot of that, twitter was awash with people claiming they'll never donate again to them, for whatever that's worth.

Someone's threw a fund up to create a flag and stated that he'll donate any money raised to Gallowgate Flags if they accept it, all they needed to say was "thanks for the offer but we don't wish to take the money, good luck and donate it to a good cause" or something along those lines. Sounds like the power's got to their head a bit like, they've demonised him for no reason at all there. They aren't the only authority for taking fucking flags into the stadium.
