  1. "excellent football" is stretching it a bit We looked canny against Crystal Palace.
  2. Why would anyone want that bellends name permanently tattooed on their body?
  3. So she actually called him Nile Ripper in court? Why?
  4. Im weening mesel off the mag, it makes polic angry. It doesn't, I like The Mag. You are angry, you watch Schindlers List on Acid. I don't even know what this means but fucking hell
  5. That's more a gameplan than a style of play tbh.
  6. I think Shawcross is a good defender for his type, he just hasn't lived up the hype he had when he was younger.
  7. I disagree but as you say I am anti Mourinho so I am probably biased Aye fair enough, I like him if I'm to be honest, not sure why he splits opinion so much
  8. Aye that's how I see it tbh. Pelegrini crossed the line last week too with the Sweden comments, they're all at it.
  9. That's because you're looking at it through your swanky Wenger/Anti-Mou tinted glasses. He dished a bit out, got some abuse back, and then came back with some abuse of his own. Pointless over-analysing it, it's 2 managers exchanging a few words to wind each other up and Wenger is just as bad.
  10. An effortless Manchester victory.
  11. Wenger started it tbh Wenger said “It is fear to fail. It is very open, only Chelsea can lose it because they are in front and all the other teams can win it." Mourinho replied "If he is right and I am afraid of failure it is because I didn't fail many times. Eight years without silverware, that's failure. He's a specialist in failure, if I do that in Chelsea, eight years, I leave and don't come back." “The only thing I feel is that I was very quiet in my place and somebody spoke not in a nice way about us. After that, I don’t accept that one is always ‘Monsieur polite’ and the other one is always the bad guy. I don’t accept, I’m sorry.” Wenger then replied “I do not want to go into silly, disrespectful remarks. I never spoke about him in my press conference and I will not start now." Before starting now with "The only thing I know is it is more embarrassing for Chelsea than for me. I am embarrassed for him. I didn’t speak about him at all in my press conference. Let’s focus on things that are worthy of it. I am more disappointed for Chelsea than for me.” They're as bad as each other, I love it personally
  12. You mean like when Wenger threw a hissy fit the other week?
  13. Forget what it looked like to the naked eye, the stats were brilliant. We bossed it.
  14. It's also the table you would have looked at a couple of months ago when telling us Pardew is doing a good job this year.
  15. The celebration is absolutely perfect though.
  16. Paid to read the flight of a ball that is impossible to read? It begins to be veering slightly left of centre then takes a sudden deviation to his right, you cannot read it, you can only react to it.
  17. like the keeper can be expected to do anything there man.
  18. Yeah because they have sheer class in the final 3rd. With the right manager they could steam roller teams just the way Man City do. Instead they score a goal and tend to sit back instead of going on and winning by 4/5/6. They can control the game like that, we cant yet we try it time and time again to my dismay. They're also deadly on the counter, again something we're rubbish at. It's just a silly comparison, and completely hypocritical considering you're happy to say "Yeah because they have sheer class in the final 3rd" whilst also not taking into consideration the personnel advantages we have over other sides, such as Wigan, Southampton, and before flogging Cabaye arguably Everton.
  19. It's not so much the boring football as it is our lack of creativity and impotence in the final 3rd. As boring as Chelsea can be they're one of the biggest attacking threats in the league.
  20. I like it, he seems self confident and has spoke sense when i've heard his interviews. Although i've yet to see him speak after a defeat so don't know what he said yesterday I like the fact he pretty much talked and gambled himself into the job... Hire me now or don't hire me at all kinda thing, ballsy bastard I'm still utterly confused as to how he's in that job.
  21. On average, since 1996 (20 team league) our point total after 27 games is 38.1 points. Our current total for 27 games has only been bettered 6 times in 18 years. I don't raise this to defend Pardew, but to lament the complete lack of enthusiasm within the club about our potential for matching some of the best times a lot of us would remember. At the start of the window we were in genuine contention for a top 4 finish. We went out and sold our best player that window, it's really difficult to get passionate about a club like that.
  22. If someone said in the summer that you'd score a last minute winner at home to Villa to move you up to 8th place and 5 points behind Everton/Man Utd, you'd have been snapping that up. Think events throughout the past few month have took a shine off what has been to date a good league campaign. It would take something special to jump from near relegation to a top 6 place within a season. There was an outside chance of it if we kept Cabaye and spent money but Ashley put an end to that. Man Utd look back to full strength now and you would fancy them to kick on for rest of season to seal top 6. Would leave the race to us, Everton and Southampton to win the place for 7th even if there isn't much dif between that and 10th. Not sure if you genuinely just don't get it, or if you're on the wind up, Brett. "It would take something special to jump from near relegation to a top 6 place within a season" I mean what? Well if we aren't bothered about a last min winner taking us to 8th place, we aren't arsed for this position then. Therefore we expect to be top 6 rather than our season being over by March. We were nearly relegated last season and a lot were of the opinion we would be thereabouts again yet we are 8th and 5 points off Everton, and a point ahead of Southampton both who get far more praise on here than we do. It hasn't got anything to do with where we finish though as we all know it's entirely irrelevant to next season, and the season after that, and beyond that until the club is eventually sold. We're not going to finish 6th and suddenly decide we want to kick on from there.
