West Ham vs Newcastle Utd - 04/05/13 @ 3pm (No TV)

We need to go for it like, but if we're 1-1 in injury time I'd prefer we settled for the point instead of throwing every man forward going for the winner. We really ought to beat QPR though, there's no chance at all that they will be in the right mood to press us for 90 minutes. -
He's not fit enough to start games. How do you know? It's clearly from all the sub performances he's done in the last month. You mean like the 50 minutes he played on Saturday? There's nothing at all to suggest that he couldn't play the first 60-70 minutes against West Ham.

As much as I want Pardew gone I've got no time for some hero hovering around the training ground harassing him and the players.

I think there's little chance of a 6-0 battering at home inspiring fight and confidence like.

I think we just need to try and get anything here and then run riot at QPR to sort our GD out. If we cannot put a few past a side who haven't gave a shit for the entire season, never mind that now they are mathematically relegated, then Pardew deserves bludgeoning. -
thup At this stage of the season there really isn't anything to be done really, just pick the side and hopefully they can muster up a win. I imagine they all pretty much detest Pardew at this point so anything that suggests that they have a chance of being managed properly in the foreseeable future should provide a much needed boost.

You've got to be impressed at Pardew's record of setting new records. Home defeats, away defeats, goals conceded, set pieces, you name it, he's fucked it up. Then to cap it all off, he has inflicted on us the worst home game any of us can remember then two weeks later he's even managed to trump that. Got to marvel at that level of staggering incompetence. Both games are up there for me like. I can't think of many worse. Do you know what, I think they're possibly the 2 worst. You're right. Fuck. Honestly man, work is going to be so horrible on Monday, my nickname for the last 2 weeks has been "horse puncher" so God knows what's in store. That's canny good to be fair

So to answer the question. Yes. -
Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Nobody really knows how good he is as captain and they probably have no idea what actually makes a good captain. I suppose making claims like that make you sound informed or something though. -
I'd prefer a young-ish manager who can make his mark here rather than someone already stuck in their methods, I suppose, although pretty much anyone with a degree of talent at this point would be an upgrade.
-
Even putting a caretaker in charge is at least doing something different - as it stands, the chance of getting another point is almost nil. The players clearly resent the manager and the most important thing we can do is kick him out ASAP. Yep, it's not even about management any more, all we need is someone to pick the team and hope the players are in the right frame of mind to pick up a few points.
-
The fact we constantly moan on about officials and have a massive thread on it suggests differently like. No? Not that I think we've been harshly done to or anything.
-
Fucking grim that the man is still here.
-
Got told he'd been fired by some WUM the bastard been absolutely chuffed for the last hour or so, anyway his position should be untenable. 6-0 to a bunch of jobbers other than their name, it's beyond embarrassing and as pathetic as it sounds the majority finally seem to be coming round,
-
"convinced themselves that simply writing a different name on the manager's door will turn this bunch of gutless cretins into world beater" man It's like me buying a load of lush, aged kobe steaks, cooking them in the microwave, whitying all over the place and then complaining that the steaks were shit. That makes no sense at all, I don't care.

Genuinely thought this was in the Pardew thread for a second there. Nearly fucking died.

You're not serious, man? The players don't deserve a bonus, but I find it astounding that you seem to indicate that the buck doesn't stop at Pardew for managing these players and building a team out of them. It stops at the feet of everyone involved. They're all at fault, as I've said numerous times before. To blame one man for the situation is simple-minded bullshit. The omnishambles we've been watching these last few minutes is nothing to do with Pardew and is due to a complete lack of heart and professional pride amongst the players, they're an embarrassment. Pardew may be as well, but to deny that the players are at fault for the way this season has gone is to deny the obvious. No one is denying that the players have been horrific today, but do you think they're particularly bad or weak-willed individuals? I don't. I see that over the course of the season they've been systematically broken. You've seen anger slip out in fits and starts over the last few months - particularly from Cisse. This exaggerated en masse capitulation has been inevitable for a long time now. This would happen with any group of players. It's not a case of them just not giving a shit it's that they are being poorly managed to the point where it's admirable that none of them have actually come out and said anything. We were getting hammered today before heads dropped, and the fact that they have now is no fucking wonder.

Pardew wants sacking today, but Cisse and Cabaye and Tiote and Sissoko and basically everyone but HBA have been SHIT when we needed them. Blaming a hopeless nonce of a manager is easy. Wake the fuck up. These players have limited abaility and dont turn up when they are desperately needed. Do you not understand the basics of how football works? This isn't just his selection today either, it's his entire approach to football management, the players have ability but that alone won't ensure that they make an impact on the game.
