thup At this stage of the season there really isn't anything to be done really, just pick the side and hopefully they can muster up a win. I imagine they all pretty much detest Pardew at this point so anything that suggests that they have a chance of being managed properly in the foreseeable future should provide a much needed boost.

You've got to be impressed at Pardew's record of setting new records. Home defeats, away defeats, goals conceded, set pieces, you name it, he's fucked it up. I'd prefer a young-ish manager who can make his mark here rather than someone already stuck in their methods, I suppose, although pretty much anyone with a degree of talent at this point would be an upgrade.

Even putting a caretaker in charge is at least doing something different - as it stands, the chance of getting another point is almost nil. The players clearly resent the manager and the most important thing we can do is kick him out ASAP. Pardew wants sacking today, but Cisse and Cabaye and Tiote and Sissoko and basically everyone but HBA have been SHIT when we needed them. Blaming a hopeless nonce of a manager is easy. Wake the fuck up. These players have limited abaility and dont turn up when they are desperately needed. Do you not understand the basics of how football works? This isn't just his selection today either, it's his entire approach to football management, the players have ability but that alone won't ensure that they make an impact on the game.
