Should be one down. Hopeless defending of a corner.
-
Ball to hand@30cm is not handball.
-
That ultimately turned out very similar to our game at Old Trafford. Which was encouraging at the time, but not something we've been able to build on.
-
Under contract till 2021. One in two plus many assists in the Bundesliga. My plucked from my arse guess at the January price, 28-30M quid. (Its only Mitro plus Merino)

A good weekend for us, looking at the results as a whole. Our squad is so poor that it leaves few options to do it, but defensively we've been strong enough to suggest we could try and shift everything a bit more forward. One goal conceded against the four weakest teams we've faced, but only three points gained has been a waste.

I don't think you should award anything to a player who goes down that theatrically. He clearly jumped in the air.
-
Was it to his left by any chance? Yep, twice in this game.
-
Joe Hart beaten from outside the box again. Chelsea 3-0.
-
Great goal from Barkley. Chelsea two up.
-
10 games in and still haven't scored a meaningful goal.
-
Christ that was shite. Did their keeper make a save?
-
They should have left it on for when he tackled Danny Ings.
-
Danny Ings seems to think there is a penalty in this game. He must have appealed for five already.
-
HT. We've been terrible. Southampton are poor too, but have at least come close. If Rondon is remotely fit, I'd like to get him on and take Perez off.

Arguably we've only had one real piece of luck this season, the Cardiff pen that was outside the box. Ultimately I agree that this season will grimly come down to whether we can come out of dour games against poor opposition on the right side of a 1-0. I also agree with the posts above that since we did not kick on in the summer even with the TV money and chunks of the Sissoko and Mitro money coming in, there is no hope left. Fatty simply doesn't care. It would not be surprising for this to translate to less effort from the players on the pitch.

Indeed, if we are going to get relegated, it will be like Boro last time due to lack of goals. The teams with record low points totals regularly shipped three or more. Against Leicester, we conceded a penalty for a handball about a meter from where the shot was taken. This week it was a non-corner. Can't we get a homer ref for a change?

Anyone who says Brighton deserved to win needs to be strapped to a chair like A Clockwork Orange and watch Mat Ryan parry that shot straight to Muto on a loop. The most worrying thing for me in that match were our set pieces. The first corner after about a minute went short to Shelvey and then back to Yedlin? who crossed from about thirty yards out, a position that will be three or four times less effective than a corner. It doesn’t matter one jot who deserves to win. You get no points for that. That's true. My only point would be the time to sack your manager is after games you lose and deserve to lose. For all the attempts we had, only four were from the three strikers Perez (2), Hoss (that ridiculous one), and Muto (1).

36 points needed off 29 games. Zero goals scored against Cardiff, Palace, and Brighton. 5, thinking about 6.

Plenty of effort but a huge lack of quality and lots of poor decision-making. They hit one shot and its deflected in, we hit many and they aren't, so no luck either. We don't look like scoring from a set piece, which is also bad for a known struggler. Brighton were there for the taking today, so that is a big three points lost.
-
Lazy is the word. That was a waste of a good position.
-
C'mon, just one bit of luck.
-
We're at least doing enough to earn a bit of luck.
-
Dunno what's happened with our set pieces. Lascelles and Dummett are still there, and Fernandes should be useful too. They were an important source of goals last time.
-
They don't deserve to be ahead, put it that way.
