With free signings of good players, they choose you, not you choose them. Basically we'll have to pay the going rate to keep him. Spurs aren't a mega wages club, so Twitchyface can say what he likes but they won't be in pole position. It just shows once again that he is a slimy hypocrite playing the media for what he can. What happened with that lad (Forest was it?) where we said there was an escape clause but they said it didn't mean they had to sell?
-
It ended up much better than things looked at h-t. Moral victory for Citeh perhaps.
-
Nearly as bad as the Rodwell decision. Great save though.

It's Superman on the radio!
-
These lads in the middle are MASSIVE!
-
Sorry if its Giggs but ManUre have only scored once against us in the last three matches, a clearance that hit Hernandez and flew in without him knowing much about it.
-
That's shocking man! As is Dwight Yorke's punditry, it must be said.
-
I still have my doubts, especially with the backing off, but maybe the player in front of him has been a part of his problem. On that subject, 30 seconds into second half, three-on-three -> no midfield help for Jones -> semi-professional foul -> direct free kick -> goal. Better players than Simpson can struggle when exposed.

I think this is showing Liverpool to be very naive and arrogant. The FA or Prem League will not want to have to deal with this kind of morality issue and will want this to blow over as quickly as possible. However, when stuff like this comes out in the media, they have to be seen to be taking action. They are part of society after all. The clever way to play this was to admit guilt, show lots of remorse, put forward a plan to stop racism at the club, donate lots of stuff to anti-racism charities, and to appeal the length of the ban only. Since they've shown no remorse, the temptation is just to make the ban longer.

Regarding the us vs. them comparison, but for an amazing clearance, we would have pegged Liverpool back to 2-2 after whatever it was, 70min? Liverpool's second came from a free kick after a non-foul. We hardly rolled over for them.

Got the easiest fixtures by far so i don't see why not. Man U will drop points playing all the big teams away, City have them all at home. Man U beat Spuds 3-0 with the team in disarray over whether Modric was leaving. They also beat Arsenal 8-2 with half a team of reserves, thanks not least to Barton getting two of their first team suspended. The reverse fixtures will be much more difficult. Either way, there's still a long way to go.
-
Wont matter to the O'neill wankfest coming now.
-
Spuds have been very poor second half. Swansea have had all the possession.
-
Yep, time to get rid. Better than Hibbert is about all I can say in favour.
-
Please feel free to list em! Anyone who watched the Sky coverage could do with cheering up.
-
Not his fault but he shouldn't have played. To put him in away from home against a strong team in a formation the lads aren't used to is poor management. Pards should have stuck with the team that got the second half win at Bolton.
-
"foul" for the free kick was him going in across Agger with his wrong leg. They're often given even when you get the ball. He didn't track Gerrard's run for the clincher which is probably a bigger mistake. Tiote's still not back up to speed, but we have much bigger problems on both flanks.
-
I'd play Routledge over him in a heart beat. The bigger step down is from Barton.
-
I can't blame him for not expecting us to do as well as we have this season, but Liverpool was a meh step up unlikely to bring CL football. At the price he went for, I don't quite understand why Arsenal or Citeh even weren't in for him.

Good year on the whole, with some excellent recruitment in Ba and Cabaye. Some vexing could-have-beens, especially for a team that's trousered 35M. Not getting a Carroll replacement in Jan that could have meant kicking on to Europe Shipping three goals to WBA with Alan fecking Smith on to lose three places in the final table. Starting the season with no CB cover, no real LB, and ACN looming large for vital players. Not playing-side related, but the ground has also been desecrated for zero financial gain Given the money he's put in, I wouldn't begrudge the fat man taking half of the Carroll money, but the 15-20 left could have come close to paying for itself with European qualification. Still on the whole much better than expected in Jan 2011, so well done Pardew and well done lads. RIP Gary Speed.

What can you say? Fantastic again.
-
Given that he normally wins a fair bit in the air, I think you could be right.
-
First half good second half bad, but our final ball was poor all game. No HBA is mystifying. It looked like we'd need more quality to beat them. Besty, Tiote and Colo all looked okay on return. Shola back to normal mode unfortunately.

Our final ball has been poor today. Ba's done well, but off relative scraps. Crosses behind him etc.
