  1. Please feel free to list em! Anyone who watched the Sky coverage could do with cheering up.
  2. Not his fault but he shouldn't have played. To put him in away from home against a strong team in a formation the lads aren't used to is poor management. Pards should have stuck with the team that got the second half win at Bolton.
  3. "foul" for the free kick was him going in across Agger with his wrong leg. They're often given even when you get the ball. He didn't track Gerrard's run for the clincher which is probably a bigger mistake. Tiote's still not back up to speed, but we have much bigger problems on both flanks.
  4. I'd play Routledge over him in a heart beat. The bigger step down is from Barton.
  5. I can't blame him for not expecting us to do as well as we have this season, but Liverpool was a meh step up unlikely to bring CL football. At the price he went for, I don't quite understand why Arsenal or Citeh even weren't in for him.
  6. Good year on the whole, with some excellent recruitment in Ba and Cabaye. Some vexing could-have-beens, especially for a team that's trousered 35M. Not getting a Carroll replacement in Jan that could have meant kicking on to Europe Shipping three goals to WBA with Alan fecking Smith on to lose three places in the final table. Starting the season with no CB cover, no real LB, and ACN looming large for vital players. Not playing-side related, but the ground has also been desecrated for zero financial gain Given the money he's put in, I wouldn't begrudge the fat man taking half of the Carroll money, but the 15-20 left could have come close to paying for itself with European qualification. Still on the whole much better than expected in Jan 2011, so well done Pardew and well done lads. RIP Gary Speed.
  7. What can you say? Fantastic again.

Given that he normally wins a fair bit in the air, I think you could be right.
  9. First half good second half bad, but our final ball was poor all game. No HBA is mystifying. It looked like we'd need more quality to beat them. Besty, Tiote and Colo all looked okay on return. Shola back to normal mode unfortunately.
  10. Our final ball has been poor today. Ba's done well, but off relative scraps. Crosses behind him etc.
  11. Not all recent acquisitions but fingers crossed this weekend we'll have out Krul Colo Tiote Cabaye Ba all of whom would have a very good shout at getting in the ManUre team this weekend (de Gea, Evans, Carrick(?), Giggs(?), Wellbeck). Evans isn't first choice, but he's going to get a lot of games. I think its been a long long time since we could have had that number of players in their team without an RTG-level exaggeration of our lads' abilities. Had we kept Jose Enrique, it would have been six. Anyway, what I want to say is that with such a strong spine, we should really be looking to eliminate the weaknesses on the flanks. The five I've mentioned are clearly not mid-table club players, so the transfer policy needs to adjust to suit. Its not as if we haven't had a big fee coming in....
  12. I've never seen Maiga and am pleased cover is coming for ACN at least, but given our other players, wouldn't we be better off signing a right footed winger/striker?
  13. After his goals at West Ham, he looked like he was going to be a real steal for someone and I'm delighted and still kind of amazed that it was us. We normally don't do sensible signings.
  14. Looked comfortable on the ball. He could be promising when we have Colo telling him what to do and don't have Gosling passing to the winger on his side.
  15. We've done right by him so far, but with the injuries piling up we can't afford to be bringing on relative youngsters. We've should bench him for HBA.

Couldn't have put it better. I've tried plenty of times though Aye, he doesn't look like a natural footballer at this level. I think he needs more playing time (at a lower level) and more coaching/work to see if he can develop more. A grafter looks like the most we can hope for.
  17. Ah well, we let team good at bullying center halves bully our stand in center halves. Got sending off in a game with known card-happy ref. Both leave a bad taste. We showed little quality going forward, but what quality we showed was very effective, which begs the question why HBA wasn't set on them. He was no big shakes last week, but it was against a DM Barca weren't prepared to sell. I think he could some damage today. I know Obertan wasn't the finished article when we bought him, but he looks too far off to be bothering with. Santon doesn't look too bad and Ba was lethal when given the chance, so lets remember that and go for a win next week!
  18. Three from set-pieces against a team that gets over 50% of their goals from them. First one was never a corner, but the other two were very wasteful. No need for Perch to make a challenge there.
  19. Any remote touch of class and we're through them like butter. What a shit team.
  20. Shola looks like he's going to get sent off so that one's deffo. Obertan disappointing again, so yeah, ring the changes. We've got the quality to beat them.
  21. Can't imagine Shola having the legs for 90 minutes, so I expect to see him replaced earlyish second half.
  22. I can't see us not scoring against a team with no clean sheets so far, so it's just a case of getting one more than them. Their home record is 3W 2D 2L, so I'm confident we'll get something.
  23. The quality of the 5 players on the right Man, we really need some depth. I know. What could Norwich's tactics be? "Well, half the team are rubbish, so go down that side. Either that or run reasonably fast at Ryan Taylor" Doesn't Shola drift left as well?
