  1. The only way that works is if they bring in another young striker to rotate in or RW who can play striker but Gordon has shown that’s not really filling the strikers role properly. But it’s a risky strategy given Wilson has proved he just cannot stay fit and that puts immense pressure on Isak.
  2. CBs aside (assuming the two free transfers come in) RW and striker surely has to be priority. Yes there’s other areas we could improve but a genuine back up for Isak who can stay fit and a proper RW are vital.
  3. Agree about Tosin, Kelly and a top quality RW. I just can’t see how we can go into neither season with Wilson and Isak as strikers as Wilson is permaninjured. Need another option if Wilson stays.
  4. 6’2, fast, athletic, looks good on the ball. Hoping he signs, seems likely.
  5. Unless Bruno goes this summer I just don’t see us spending significant funds on another midfield especially with Tonali coming back. RW and striker together with defensive reinforcements will use up our budget. Assuming Bruno stays I imagine Howe will be trying to work out how best to deploy Tonali and Bruno in the side. Yes Tonali isn’t going to be a creative force but his skill set should improve our overall midfield play. A RW who can tear the arse out of a defence will make the world of difference for a creativity too.
  6. I thought Brighton played pretty well yesterday. For us it was a combination of things, Isak unwell, Wilson out (again) and we just lacked that cutting edge in the final 3rd as a result. I thought Barnes was a bit sloppy on his spell and Murphy being replaced by Miggy tells you everything you need to know about how much RW needs upgrading - neither are up to it. Disappointing last home game result but there’s still everything to play for ?
  7. Yeah the lack of a really quality attacking winger on the right hurts us and as you say possible someone to create something from midfield other than Bruno. A genuine RW threat would be a massive boost for us though. Im still interested to see what impact Tonali has on the team. He’s classy on the ball and a great passer.
  8. Completely agree. I know Murphy played well last week but he’s just not good enough and Almiron doesn’t cut it either.
  9. Shit happens, poor second half, lacked decisiveness in the final 3rd. Injury to Wilson really hurt us today.
  10. Get rid, today absolutely confirms that
  11. Agree, particularly as I think they’ll spend big on a RW and a fair chunk on another striker.
  12. Upgrading the keeper will happen at some stage and if the right player became available this summer then maybe but I think there are more urgent areas this summer in terms of transfer outlay. I think Ramsdale would be excellent but as others have said he’s only serious money at Arsenal and the transfer fee would be massive.
  13. So is he going to go out on loan again to QOR next season?
  14. I guess we might keep him if he Howe thinks he can regain fitness and rotate with Hall as Hall slowly takes over the LB slot?
  15. Fair point. I quite like the idea of Freedman but that’s only going off what he’s done in relation to English signings.
  16. Point taken but Nickson is pretty good on European markets though isn’t he (even if he doesn’t have the champions league experience)
  17. Will be great when this is finally sorted.
  18. We are a very attractive option for a player currently - the ambition, the atmosphere in the ground, the fact that players will see other players improving under Howe. If it’s purely a financial decision then we’ll lose out but we can still offer him a solid contract. It’ll be interesting to see if this goes through.
  19. Im pretty confident we’ll get back into the champions league next season.
