Yeah this summer is where you’d like to think Mitchel will start making his mark. I’d say they have their targets but many will depend on where we finish this season in terms of Europe on offer for players. Like if we got champions league I could see us going for Mbuemo and then other players from Europe for other positions aside from say Trafford.

Yeah there’s too many players out of form, that’s my concern. If we could put together one of our runs that might do it but it feels very iffy currently.

If you look at our remaining fixtures top 5 is achievable but any more key injuries might kaibosh that. Forest maintaining their form is making it more difficult. Feels a bit like Pool, Arsenal, City, Forest and one other at the moment.

My complete guesswork is that Isak will probably be told of the summer plans and a large recruitment operation to really push the club on. I think that and Europa league might be enough to keep him for another year (particularly as many might not be able to afford him anyway) whereby we might then qualify for the champions league the year after.

I think we have to win this if we want top 5/CL. Not confident though.

I actually think there’s a chance some teams might wait until there’s two years on his contract if he stayed, he’s be more affordable then. If we get CL if think he stays and signs a new contract though.

I could handle it a bit more him going to Liverpool rather than Arsenal. I still think someone on the continent might come in for him too only if we don’t get CL. Either way the fee is going to be a big ask for anyone, we’re not just going to hand him over ffs.

Unrelated injuries are commonplace after prior long term serious injuries. Ridiculous to completely write the guy off.

I’m not expecting a win at all but ironically we’re almost more likely to win now given we’re totally up against it. We always do better as under dogs but it’s a very long shot. You can’t lose the key players we’re losing vs a team like Liverpool.

Hardly ideal but if it’s a basic knee arthroscopy it’s nowt to worry about long term just a shitter in the short term. I see them all the time at work - obviously not professional footballers though (semi-professional sometimes yes)

Opposite leg ACL rupture?

Very common in fact people are also often more likely to suffer an ACL rupture in their opposite leg than re-rupture their operated leg.

Ofcourse we’d be crazy to sell top targets but it might be taken out of our hands to a point if we don’t get a CL spot. There might not be anyone who can afford Isak with 3 years left on his contract but I still think someone will go in for him if we finish outside the top 5. A Europa league place and major signings and he might stay another season.

Totally agree, Pope WAS a great shot stopper but hasn’t looked the same since his injury and I think he’s gone in the summer. Howe obviously thinks he will get more overall from Pope and he may with game time as he looks a bit rusty but it’s very debatable. I think Dubravka was really unfortunate to be dropped.

A huge match to keep us in the competition and ironically there’s arguably a greater chance of winning the FA cup with Liverpool out.

Yeah seems very likely Trafford comes in or at at least a new starting keeper. I wonder if Dubravka stays or it like Pope he’ll be gone too? Seems like Dubrakva probably wants more playing time so could still go to Saudi in the summer.

Yes I think things will be a lot clearer at the end of this season. We will definitely be spending fairly heavily in the summer and league placing will help define player targets. I think if we get CL we could have a really strong team next season - I.e first rate additions at R CB, RW, attacking midfielder, back up striker and probably Trafford. There’ll be quite a few outgoings too to raise some money and as you say it’ll be interesting to see if a purple gets sold. I think if we won a cup that probably increases the chance of Bruno going (job done next challenge type thing)

We could probably do with him chipping in with a few more goals too. I think overall he’s been great for us but I wouldn’t be averse to him moving on in the summer and having a more attacking midfielder in that position.

He’s looked very sluggish to me recently. Definitely agree that when he’s further up the pitch he has a far greater impact on the game. I also think he gets caught in possession far too much.

I can’t see us signing both of them but let’s see, I think it would cost too much.
