So AFCON is December 21st to Jan 18th assuming a team went all the way to the final. I’m guessing though the players will be with respective countries earlier than the official start date? So assuming he goes while he may appear for a cameo role before the next international break we’ll have him back in better shape for the City game then hopefully far better shape as we move through the games (Everton, Spurs, Burnley, Mackems Chelsea plus a couple champions league and the Fulham cup match). Whatever happens Im just really looking forward to having him back in the squad because he’ll be a great option to have and give us another option. I’m keen to see what Howe does with him, how he rotates him in the side or situations where he might play him with Woltemade.

The missing the simple passes is definitely indicative of a lack of confidence but you could see him getting into good positions yesterday. As he gets more confident he’ll take players on more and his crossing will improve. His pace alone helps change games because it causes panic in a side. It’s a just a case of building his confidence up and coaching and Howe will be ideal for that.

He’s struggling but he’ll come good, confidence will gradually increase, he’s got a good set of coaches to work with him too.
-
He looks smoother and more comfortable on the ball than Botman.
-
He’d also cost an absolute packet in Jan unless there’s a release clause. While I “could” See it happening it’s more likely they bring in Guehi as they’re defence is all over the shop with the midfield not that far behind. I guess the question for Liverpool will be when is the right time to move him on? He’ll probably hit some form at some point but the whole side looks out of sorts currently.

Yeah can’t see us going no for him now as you say. No doubt we have other priorities in terms of recruitment anyway.
-
Could actually see this happening with PIF filling the scousers pockets ffs
-
Imagine he’ll come back into the side tomorrow night

Yes I think Hall and Tino will definitely help with this when they come back.
-
Howe and Jones will do loads of work with him, I’m sure he’ll improve. He could do with a goal for confidence.
-
Even when Wissa is back as an option from the bench for 20 mins it gives us another card to play. You could see yesterday how he could’ve made a huge impact second half.
-
Totally agree but I’d like to see him score goals more consistently too.
-
Liverpool struggling while Sunderland and the likes of Brentford doing very well shows the unpredictability of football and how hard it is to predict how things will work out.
-
I thought he was going to have a field day once the red back was on a yellow but it didn’t happen and he kind of ran out of steam didn’t he. Consistency is definitely his issue. Mind I think he’ll completely destroy West Ham.

There was very good analysis from Carrick on MOTD about how him dropping deep and allowing midfielders and wingers running into space behind is really hard to defend against and while he himself can’t run into space behind behind he links all the play up very well. I can see Ramsey really benefiting from this. Wissa ofcourse will give us a different option when he comes back.

Well I ended up with a re-sale ticket bought 3hrs before kick off, maybe that’s the way to go from now on👍 On the match, I thought we were pretty sluggish at times and looked like we had the CL in our legs. I thought we bit tired from Wednesday, lack of movement, very passive in midfield at times. To be fair tho we missed 3 nailed on chances really and we seemed to give Fulham loads of space to play. Woltemade still too isolated at times for me too. I think Hall and Livramento missing is really effecting our overall play building attacks etc but that’s stating the obvious really. Great that we stepped up at the end there to get the winner so fair play, great grit. Sometimes you have to grind results out and it’s a massive 3 points.

Fuck me the ref actively trying to give Liverpool every chance to get back into it. Fuck off Slot and Liverpool
-
The marking or lack of for their winner 😂
-
Yea surely nailed on to stay up, they’ll be eagerly anticipating the derby now. We’ll have to be on it to go there and win but I’m confident with our midfield and the players we have.

Total guesswork as we don’t know where he’s at training wise but I reckon outside change West Ham, more likely Bilbao or Brentford (which would he ironic). Any longish injury will be treated with caution particularly as there’s another international break coming up where someone can get up to speed more (and then go to AFCON😂)
