  1. The shackles won't ever be fully removed by Ashley I don't think. Sure they'll bring some players in but they'll always step back from paying the going rate rather than identifying an ideal player to fit a position and then going for them. Did I read in the chronicale some nonsense about bringing in 6 new first teamers? Surely it's 6 new starters plus solid squad additions.
  2. No fucking chance this is happening, it'll take too much of a sea change in policy. It's McClaren all the way for Ashley.
  3. He's bang average but occasionally shows flashes. As a squad player to come in as 3rd choice no worries but the problem is given our lack of quality and numbers he's too often near the first team. They won't be paying him much and in general I'm non-plus either way really.
  4. Fuck all will happen because he's simply too concerned with ££££ meaning he won't part with cash. For an absolute fraction of the barrels of cash coming in he could sign a decent, solid manager who could bring players on and increase their value for future profit in the process. While simultaneously get the team well drilled, playing good football. As it is he'll ALWAYS a look for the cheap /numpty option like Carver. Even in the situation where he might consider bringing a proper appointment in, the idea of reporting to an idiotit, clueless fool like Charnley and having no say in transfers will put any right minded individual off. Spend some proper money on players, bring in a proper manager and give them their own back room staff and say on transfers................There's just too much that needs to change for anything truly progressive to happen.

    John Carver

This cunt is still going to be here next season isn't he ffs
  6. Thing is he could well appoint Carver on a permanent basis which will make a complete mockery of everything he's said.
  7. We definitely won't win today, we may scrape a draw absolute best, more likely a 1-0 loss. So it'll come down to what happens at Hull.

I don't think I've ever seen someone so far out of their depth both from a technical/tactical aspect and a complete inability communication wise to motivate players and/or alienate players. Takes some doing, fuck me
  9. It'll come down to the Hull match as we are clearly incapable of winning a match. I'd imagine I'll still feel a bit gutted if we go down next weekend but to be honest I feel so far removed from NUFC and football in general right now that I'm all a bit numb/apathetic to it. The club serves no purpose at the moment so there's not much point being in the premier league anyway. Also the way the club is being run you feel we'd probably go down next season anyway. Had the club brought in a manager even in a temporary basis with even the vaguest if clues in january we wouldn't be anywhere near this situation. We might scrape a point next weekend but I can honestly just see another defeat.
  10. I'm almost if the opinion that if we don't show some fight and go and get a result here given they're down already and Hulls complete fuck up against Burnley last weekend giving us an extra chance, then we deserve to go down.
  11. There's been some absolute guff coming out recently about him. Apparently the fans forced out a manager of the capability of Ancelotti if you believe what you hear on the radio and on TV. Seemingly he could do no wrong, player great offensive football, and had an excellent record here. Honestly, f*** me I'd imagine you'll see a bang average Palace side next season playing dull football with players frustrated at tactics as per at all his clubs.

    Paul Dummett

Williamson shouldn't be anywhere near the side if Dummett is fit. One is reliable the other a complete liability
  13. Dummett should stay at centre half, keep Williamson the f*** away ffs At least we'll have the likes of Aaron's, Cisse and Janmaat back.....Christ possibly even De Jong.
  14. Incredible result at Hull.
  15. As it's clear Carver is beyond clueless I hope the players have had their own sort out amongst themselves. Carver's total incompetence doesn't excuse the fact the the majority of players simply aren't performing at anything approaching a professional standard. They need to turn out and give fucking everything tomorrow. A performance like last Saturday just isn't an option......if it happens then we're definitely going down.

Going into such a crucial match and he comes out and makes such an utterly ridiculous comment. You couldn't make it up. Absolute cretin of a man and all the "I'm a Geordie", "worked with Sir Bobby", "bleed black and white", can't disguise his total and utter incompetence. You have to hope the players have had their own rallying meeting because this cock is doing his level best to take us down.
  17. This is barely an exaggeration. Scary. Couldn't agree more, he's that bad
  18. Means fuck all if he plays like he did on Saturday.

I think we're going down if those two articles are true. Club is broken and Carver is incapable of getting anything from this team. See you in the championship.

The absurdity of this is that there is no comparison between the cost of relegation and getting rid of the current coaching staff.
  21. This has been the thing that gets me too. He turns up to watch matches including some obscure away games........we're absolute dog shit. As Ian says below for a fraction of what comes in, we could be entertaining, crowd would be relatively happy and he'd still make buckets of cash, you could argue more than he makes now. And yet we stagger from one disaster to the next as if he's getting some kind of perverse pleasure out of it.
  22. Mackems are still in the shit big time with those last two away fixtures and given they play Leicester at home, those two will take points off the other. They need to beat Everton away really.

What did they say? That they can never remember a manager previously making such a 'slanderous' claim against one of his own players, how the dressing rooms obviously lost, how Carver "being a fan" is all he goes on about and its not good enough. Be interesting to see how Williamson feels today, etc. About McClaren - just that he may be appointed today so god knows. Cheers. The financial ramifications for Ashley of turfing Carver et al out and replacing them pales in comparison to the ££££££ lost if we go down. Ashley is utterly clueless though so fuck knows what will happen.
