  1. He'll be gone for the simple fact he (and his agents) know that he can get more money than he's being paid right now. Would love him to sign a new contract as he's guaranteed goals and is committed on the pitch but if he leaves for more money I won't be sorry to be shot of the whole "will he, won't he" saga. Plus he should never be talking in public about tactics or possible moves to other teams. Tedious affair but I suppose it's all part of modern day football

    Loïc Remy

I'd take Remy plus a new CH over a new RB. Atleast we kind of have some options at full back whereas at CH we're completely shafted at the moment.

Can anyone tell me a little bit more about Remy playing style wise. Haven't seen much of him despite hearing a lot about him. Does sound like it'll be Marveaux moving on if this happens which would be a shame and seems to indicate that Ba may move on too. Could still see defensive/midfield reinforements happen too though (wet dreams)
  4. The whole thing is fucking boring isn't it.
  5. Yeah no point risking at all and forcing him out for months on end. Seems like they completely underestimated it going into the Fulham game, why bother playing him then at all?
  6. As we all know it'll end up predictably depressing come the end of Jan as it's what we've just come to expect thesedays. It could all be very different though......a couple of great signings, Cabaye and Taylor back from injury and the team ready to kick on. It'll be more like the same quotes as mentioned above and clinging on for dear life.
  7. Sure players would need a bit of time to bed in like Anita but we'd be updating the squad with genuine quality over what we have. Also the confidence and lift it would give all the players, staff and fans can't be understated, would be huge to sign some really solid players in Jan. Given the financial disaster relegation poses what with the new mega prem deal for next season you'd think it would be a no brainer for Ashley to sure us up and guarantee prem status.
  8. Yeah ever since he started marauding forward and shooting from long range or firing long passes it's all gone tits up. Perch looks a more assured and neat player who doesn't give the ball away sitting in the midfield at the moment but Tiote will get back to it, he's been awful but that's linked to missing too many games through suspension/injury.
  9. There were glimpses of his old self yesterday, good tenacious play but still far too sloppy with the ball at times. I'm amazed people are saying we should just sell up though There's some amazingly fickle fan pov on here, haha
  10. Will play well with Cabaye back in the midfield too. Top class
  11. Lose against QPR and the shit really hits the fan
  12. Same intensity as today and I think we'll win. Really could do with HBA back though,
  13. Yeah lets be realistic about the level players we're playing against ffs. Mansour has spent 1 billion on this operation.
  14. I remember games like Arsenal away when Carroll scored. He was immense in that match, everywhere, all over the pitch. But powerful play mixed with brilliant simple, neat passing. Thesedays it's like he's trying to force too much and do too many things. As others have said he needs to go back to the basics. Break play up, protect the back four and give simple passes.
  15. I'm still saying 3 or 4 at present. QPR have a mountain to climb if they're going to stay up and Reading going on last nights performance look almost dead and buried. Southampton have been playing really well by their standards recently and are STILL two points behind us. Villa are shite, Wigan will always be down there and the Mackems have hardly turned the corner. That said if we don't strengthen in Jan after losing most of the games coming up over December with Ashley sticking with what he's got (again) then that number will rise rapidly.
  16. Cousin is living in New York currently and goes to the Toon pub over there regularly. Llambias was there with his son who was meant to be running the NY marathon last month which was then cancelled. He was doing a bit of an Ashley buying a few people beers but also sorted out my cousin's mate with tickets for a few matches. Anyway they quizzed him on signings and he said 3 signings in Jan. Doesn't change my opinion of the bloke and the hope for signings drained away ages ago but that's what he said....take from it what you will.
  17. His situation needs to be sorted one way or another. If we can broker a deal that he'll sign then fantastic. If he and his many agents want silly money he needs to be moved on so every fucker can move on from this "will he won't he" scenario.
  18. The thought of Tevezand & Aguero running at Williamson Bloody hell
  19. Surely has to bring Marveaux into the fold? Well we won't be expected to get anything and in that sense there won't be the same pressure on us as say it were against a Wigan type side. We also seems to raise our game against the top sides. So I'm not as nervous as I probably will be for the QPR match. It's also a MUST win for City after sunday. A defeat but not a blow out
  20. Well until he's replaced with a new centre it's going to be the same bloody story, game in game out. And we can't rely on Taylor staying fit. NEED a new CH
  21. Whereas I can actually see us getting a result here if all the 1st teamers are back in the side I can also see the predictably poor result as per. And a poor result here and the pressure is squarely back on them going into some really tough fixtures.

    sunderland

He gave them that (predictable) short term lift when he arrived but he looks hopelessly outdated at the moment with his play. He doesn't look like he has a plan B currently and the players he's brought in like Johnson simply aren't doing it. Once his ability to get the players fighting for the cause goes then he has no back up system wise to fall back on. Looks dead in the water to me but we'll see I suppose.
  23. Nice straightforward transfer if someone wants him then
