He’s fast and strong as an ox. Just listen to Ivan Toney talk about playing against him. I think he’d be a tremendous signing and one that would give me more confidence of us getting top 4 next season (with a RW coming in). People talking about the fee, you’re always going to have to pay a bit more of an English player and particularly after how he played in the euros.

My worry is another club comes in and hijacks the move with wages etc. it’s highly likely he’s spoken to Gordon and Trippier at some point while away with England though.

Exactly. Can come on as an option for 20-25 mins to run hard at defences and cause problems and lessen the load on Isak (and Wilson). Sounds like he can play on the wing too so just generally adds depth.

Ornstein usually releases fairly concrete info. If we’ve made an approach the then it’s likely the player has indicated he’s interested. Doesn’t mean he’ll sign re wages, transfer fee etc but it’s very encouraging.

Id be happy if we bought him and a starting RW, I think we can afford that

He’s also exactly the type of defender we need

    Right footed or left footed?

Unlikely as Ornstein is usually on the money but you never know
  9. Couldn’t agree more, sport, politics, it’s all awful on there. Glad I’m off it to be honest save for the odd view once in a blue moon.
  10. I logged into Twitter or x or whatever it’s called now for the first time as only have it on my iPad. Fuck me there’s some nufc bed wetters on there 😂 No wonder I stopped going on there ages ago it’s awful.

So is this the 3rd striker option we’ve been hoping for?
  12. Yeah we’re hardly going to hand him over.
  13. I think there’s a fair chance it happens too. If Pool come calling and offer enough cash he’ll go but it’ll be on our terms.
  14. I’m confident we’ll make some good key additions but there is pressure to get this window right.
  15. And yet if it does happen hours and hours of diacussion by the nufc transfer committee, analysing stats, injury record, character, skill set means they probably know a little more than those on a message board.
  16. Or maybe we are trying to get exactly who we want in key positions of which we have no idea who exactly Howe et al want and negotiating takes time.
  17. It’s 28th July, relax man 😂 You’re also making making wild assumptions about how things aren’t going well behind the scenes based on an absolutely nothing.
  18. Yeah I don’t pay that much attention to prospective reports really though they can be interesting. There are so many factors that equate to a successful transfer and you’re never going to get them all right but the scouting team has done pretty well so far so I’m happy with whatever they go with currently.
  19. Yes I thought recovery pace would’ve been one of the main things we’d be looking at. I don’t know much about Thiaw to be fair though.
  20. Lascelles won’t even be back until midway through the season irrespective of potential return to form and ability.
  21. The Saudi links do seem pretty strong, has a sense of inevitability about it
  22. I wonder if he starts opening day? Would seem likely if Kelly isn’t quite up to speed yet.
