Ah, that's true actually. All our loan signings in the Championship had varying degrees of success. Harewood, Hall and Van Aanholt all played their part. Khizanishvili less so... I was really impressed with him. Where is he these days? Really thought he had a good future ahead of him. Rated him more than that Bertrand.

To be fair going from £20m for Cabaye to a swap for Ramsey before the goals started would rightly be questioned a little bit angrily He has doubled his career tally this season hasnt he? Yeah, i'm assuming we wanted a bit of cash on top of the swap tbh the way Ramsey was prior to this season. Even with that we still would have had a good right to question. Yep, been sensational this season. Think Ramsey sums up why confidence is one of the biggest factors in football.

The outcry on here if that deal was made in the summer

c*** at the top of my league took boruc out for speroni and turner out for gabbidon, clean sheet and 2 bonus points. Disgusting! Sounds like a masterstroke to me.

Opted against Hughton this time since delia must be sucking his cock since he's still in a job. Went for Mackay, although results haven't been too bad, always get the feeling the bloke in charge is dying to get rid and bring someone new in. Can see him being gone by the new year.

Give over, nothing too them, just like the muppet they sold to Liverpool. Such average players that get praise because they don't lose the ball but they only play 5/10 yard side passes. Along with that they hardly get a foot in, don't score goals, don't have much pace and aren't strong. In a Swansea type style of play they just look neat and tidy. Michu is a far bigger miss! Not losing the ball and playing 5/10 yard passes is hardly something to s*** on..... they can keep the pressure on the opposition and create space and angles for others, do not underestimate how effective it can be because he's not typical blood and thunder don't mean they are s*** and nothing to worry about. It's all well and good if you do that and have the end product to match it up with. This season I don't think they've looked as good. I think we should go there fancying our chances of at least a draw. They'll have the possession stats in the bag no doubt but that doesn't win you games like we proved when Cabaye and Cisse sliced them open, same again please!

It's happening, brother, it's happening. 7 now, I believe? Yep, almost half way. Would have gave him a great confidence boost especially no Ronaldo in the side knowing he can step up. Honestly believe only a long term injury can stop him reaching our target of 15. Cruising along now, Neil!

Pardew should be giving credit for sticking with Sissoko on the right not saying he fluked upon it. Majority on here weren't happy when he wasn't playing well out wide or when Pardew said in the summer Sissoko was capable of playing a role on the wing. We were up in arms about it, myself included. He stuck by him though and now his performances are starting to shine through once he's grasped the role. That's not a fluke.

he was good, Bigi was good, haidara. Chelsea's number 8 looked a good player IMO I love Bigi, thought Haidara was our best outfield player. Really impressed with him since his arrival. The younger lads did well it was more experienced ones who didn't do anything, Obertan/Marveaux.

Nothing really to report after that. Suppose it killed a couple of hours. Anlwinck was canny, if he plays like that regularly I can't see why we are looking at another keeper.

Shocking week, 47 points or something turd like that. Oscar out/Coutinho in for me this week. Liverpool couple of nice home games coming up, Suarez captain.

madness to think otherwise, saw f***ing rodgers was bemoaning the size of his squad after getting beat cheeky blobfish Yes, and it was a disgrace and quite frankly laughable. Sturridge gets injured so he brings in Moses, hardly the worst scenario in the world. Then he's got Coutinho sitting on his bench when needed, albeit he may have been carrying a knock (i think). He signed Aspas, hardly been given a chance, he's got his 20 million pound Allen on the bench. Got for me one of the best CB's in the league in Agger also bench warming along with Sakho. He has no right to bemoan his squad. He wasn't complaing when Suarez was banned earlier in the season but they were winning matches. Suddenly he gets a sour result and they haven’t won in a couple of games and he’s blaming the size of the squad.
-
It's not the point, he has the variation to play and win matches with it (4-3-3) if he deems that's our best chance of winning. Right now, it's not. 4-4-2 is rightly being accomodated and this should look to be a strength that we are versaitile and not one dimentional.
-
Can't actually believe we have suddenly come across this strength and depth. Worrying factor about is that we may not feel the need to strenghten our side when our 10 million pound striker and our 8 million pound centre back, can't get games. Hope this isn't taking into account in January and we still look to bring in a striker and a centre back.
-
Yep, and that was with Bony in the side. Didn't see their game yesterday so not sure how they performed. Laudrup seemed to be praising them highly after yesterday's game but i'd take that with a pinch of salt as i've never seen him unhappy with his team. I'd still be happy to take a draw but a win is by no means out of the equation against these, especially when their fans have been getting on their backs of late at home.

what? by this i assume you mean the "established" top 6 and not everton, southampton and so on... our first team plus 2-3 others is f***ing excellent man I'd happily swap Man City/Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool squads for ours. Wouldn't even think twice. Simple. Yet HTT would only 'settle' for us bumping one of them out the top 6 this season. Staggering Yes we've got a good squad, i've massively built up this squad more than the majority on here all along. I said even with Pardew in charge this should be top 8 but a good manager would make the process more comfortable passage but still not get top 6, similar to Everton. We will have more of rocky ride getting there with Pardew but still capable of it and I think we will. The way things have been going is more like ourselves, we'll hit a poor run of form sooner or later, maybe get a shock defeat somewhere but i'd be confident this group can bounce back. Yet even as positive as I am, we aren't in a position squad wise to think we should be better than any of the established top 6.
-
Just 'settle' for top 6. Absolute loon. Our team is nowhere near the likes of any in the top 6. I'd snap their hands off for a swap with any of them. You also said Pardew only knows 4-4-2 yet for the second half of the season we finished fifth we were excellent in the 4-3-3. We were excellent in that formation against Villa earlier this year too. He's went back to 4-4-2 simply because players underperformed for him and switched things around and it's since been working. We are very adaptable and have players to play in different formations. Right now 4-4-2 is our best working formation and yes it's Pardew's most favourable but that's not to say he can't do any other. He deserves credit for his judgement on Sissoko. A lot thought he was trying to fit triangles in square holes by playing him out wide but he’s proved very effective and has grown in the position. I never thought he had it to play consistently well in that position but I was wrong and I credit Pardew for that, along with Sissoko for knuckling down in that position and giving it his all.
