A fair amount if not all of the writing-off posts are whooshes, whether that’s about Tonali or someone else. Everyone’s just bored out of their minds. Can’t wait for the season to begin, stopped caring in detail about the transfer window

My brother in law is a Sheffield United fan, think there’s an acceptance within the fan base and wider club that they don’t stand a chance of staying up. Think they were amazed that they got promoted in all honesty

Seems like a really confident, nice lad. Got a good feeling he’ll settle in very quickly

Don’t think Moyes has any idea about how to build a side. I think he’s good at working with the players he has, fostering a united team and getting results but I’d never trust him with a budget. I know there are directors of football but they do need to work closely with the manager on transfers

It feels like it could be, let’s see what the interest is in the Saudi league, if each team in the league can have a bunch of quality players then it’s hard to imagine it not getting a big following
-
Makes me appreciate FFP to be honest, would have felt hollow as fuck to win by dropping obscene money and having a squad that was champions league winning worthy within the space of two years. I say that on one hand being pleased about it and on the other annoyed, given that FFP isn’t actually interested in the integrity of the game, but adding to the status quo

Was the milk cup and played in Northern Ireland. Bit of a downgrade but I’m sure a lot of big names have won player of the tournament
-
He won that award for a youth tournament somewhere right? Possibly Hong Kong, and the award had been won by a bunch of people who went on to become some of the biggest names in European football. Wonder if it would have been different in a professional academy set up

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Espanyol on 08/08/25

Harsh, he was an extremely competent defensive full back who could also whip an ok cross in. Unfortunately, injuries, lack of match fitness and who knows if anything else, has made him look slower, less comfortable positionally etc -
He’s got lovely feet, especially his left. Can cut the ball inside deceptively easy and has a knack for getting a yard of space to get a shot off. In terms of our attacking options, he looks like he’s next in line after Isak in terms of dribbling ability / beating a man with skill but that’s perhaps more of a reflection on the quality of dribblers in our squad more than anything else

He put on the jets, without having a plan. Impressive pace at least -
You have to think that could totally fuck Crystal Palace next season. It’s not like they have many goals in the side as it is, with no money coming in for Zaha, I think they’re a decent front runner for the drop or at least to spend the whole season being at risk

Nzog doesn’t deserve being lumped together with the filth that was Obertan
-
He’s a player who desperately needs people to back him and to feel loved. I think he largely got that from our fans so I’m sure he’ll leave with a lot of love for the club
-
Not disagreeing that we’ve needed improvements on the wings, if Gordon can play there to a high standard we might be ok. However, the reason there was barely any rotation in our defence was because we largely stayed injury free and had barely anyone to cover
-
Bit sad about this, not really about what it means for us as we’ll be fine but I hope ASM gets what he wants. I’d have thought his ego would want proper success and I hope he returns to the top leagues again soon but either way, thanks for giving us some amazing moments when things were particularly shit

Think Olise is an archetypal my-career-dies-here signing if he goes to Chelsea
-
Genuinely interested in why the only name and only position that he’s putting forward is Frimpong
-
Are you a big Bundesliga fan? How come you’ve seen so much of Frimpong?
-
Respect, he obviously cares more about achievements in the game over monetary concerns. He’s unlikely to win anything with Fulham but he’s more likely to jump from a Fulham to an Aston Villa, Spurs or better if he’s in a top European league compared with the Saudi league
-
Can’t figure out what’s a whoosh and what’s a change-the-sheets post anymore
-
Yeah, if we hadn’t got Isak I’d be gutted about not getting Pedro. I still wanted to see if we could get him after Isak came through as he does have a different game but they would occupy very similar positions. Pedro is a lot more powerful than Isak but not close to having Isak’s technical skill. Pedro will be able to play target man as well as wide forward, could have had him in as Wilson’s long-term replacement but he’s not a natural finisher like Wilson either

is that an ironic retweet? I like Jordan Henderson and think he’s a decent guy but anyone trying to make an argument about SA and picking and choosing who are the good guys and who are the bad guys that are in bed with them is the shittest debate going
