He’s actually pretty good at moving with the ball at pace from my recollection of watching him. His issue is that he struggles to beat someone with feints and skill. Don’t think it’s a major concern although Isak is a pure dribbler and we don’t have anyone else anywhere near his level now so we are a bit short in that area
  2. Very excited by this transfer. We’re desperately looking for a long-term Trippier replacement. Is Ashby that man? No one knows as we’ve seen him play for such a tiny amount of time in non-competitive matches but even if he develops into a great player, he’s not anywhere near yet. Livramento is class already
  3. Must eat him up, the rancid weasel
  4. Pathetic that, his attitude on the pitch is shocking. Ten Hag obviously thinks this will have a positive impact on him but it could easily have a negative impact, giving such a dickhead an even stronger feeling of authority and arrogance
  5. We’ve got a lot of players who already do a ton of running. He’s like a slightly more clinical version of Longstaff but someone who’s reading of the game isn’t as good as Longstaff. Would much prefer any further acquisitions to be technically really strong with a great touch, good feet etc
  6. And I say that as someone who has no issue with Darlow. He’s done what he was meant to do. He’s not a great keeper and he’s lower down in the pecking order, hope he does well at Bournemouth
  7. Collective N-O relief. Not many transfers will have everyone United as one but this one will
  8. Joelinton (flexible position but on the left-hand side of a midfield ideally) Bruno (flexible position, unsure if he plays deeper than Tonali or not and if they will interchange) Tonali (flexible position, unsure if he plays more advanced than Bruno or if they will interchange) Willock (played best stuff on the left but not defined) Gordon (no idea where his best position is) Almiron (defined position - RW) Barnes (defined position - LW) Murphy (defined position - RW) Anderson (played best stuff on the left but not defined) Isak (hopefully defined as CF but with option to drift wide and deep where appropriate) Wilson (defined - CF) Do people agree with this? Feel like there’s a ton of uncertainty about what’s going to happen in our wide roles and attacking midfield roles. No idea what the pecking order will be with those
  9. Below Ginola, Robert and HBA by a distance but still remembered fondly, above Fox for me. Sellars was slightly before my time. Just checked and he was there at the same time as Ruel Fox, I was only 6-8 years old but I remember Fox and barely remember Sellars
  10. Diaby is the main one, can’t think of others. Once Miggy hit a good run of form we barely heard about Diaby again

Barnes and Gordon were both targets from last summer right? And then we ended up getting Gordon in January. Be interesting to go back over the list of targets that we’d been linked with properly and see if there’s anyone else in there that hasn’t already changed clubs or signed a new contract

Fair play, be amazed if he doesn’t have a good career here. I will always want flair players in the team and there’s not a better sight than seeing a player beat a man and then beat another. However, this lad will produce the goods for us and he’ll be able to play without niggling injuries hopefully
  13. Football’s so fucked, it’s like a simulation now
  14. Get that lad in the negotiating team, why not throw Dúbravka in for a cool £30m on top
  15. Think it’s mainly a shame that we didn’t get to see him have a run of games last season. If he’d managed to play ten in a row, really lace together some good performances then we’d all feel differently about this Im sure. Would feel like a massive mistake but then we probably wouldn’t be selling him if he’d stayed injury free. Or if he had been injury free and we were selling him it would have been because he couldn’t play consistently enough. It’s all just a bit what-if with Maxi
  16. That strip, vile. RAWK seemed largely against the idea of Henderson going to Saudi Arabia. Will be interesting to see how long that lasts for
  17. What a player, will miss watching him play in the league
  18. I agree that he’s unlikely not in the same class as Isak. Isak is still massively underrated in my view. I think Tonali and Bruno are probably going to be very similar standard but having both means that if one has an off game it doesn’t have anywhere near as big an impact on us
  19. Will give it a look, my sister was up visiting a month or two ago and she said that she’d spoken to someone on South Parade who was doing some building work there and they’d said that all the places on the bar-side of the street had been bought up and there were redevelopment plans. You heard anything about it? Don’t mind the odd bar but the idea of multiple club bars reopening there would be gutting
  20. Can’t see how anyone would go above £2m but who the fuck knows these days - talking about Darlow here
  21. We’re losing someone whose ceiling is extremely high (but only reaches that level 2-3 times a year) and whose baseline is low, with him circling around that level too regularly, often due to injuries. I’d say overall I’m disappointed as I love watching him play and when he’s on, he’s world class. Do I think he ever would have worked for Howe? Probably only in fits and starts and I think Howe would prefer consistency
  22. Needs to slap an ‘EXCLUSIVE’ on that does Lee. Clearly got his ear to the ground, and to his credit, his tongue to the window
  23. €25m would be a shite deal. His injury record is poor but he would be an absolute star in the Saudi league

Think people will stop having an issue once the goals start flying in from the edge of the box
