  1. Not sure, but he’s an extremely talented player
  2. Our zenith. Llambo and Porkchop, just a couple of good lads focused on destroying the lives of hundreds of thousands of people

I think there’s such little evidence of his out of play work that it’s almost impossible to draw any conclusions as a fan. However, I’d be astonished if he’d be getting skinned to the degree that Burn has been getting because he is more mobile. Obviously he’d be nowhere near as good on aerial duels
  4. I would 100% sell for £15m even though he’s a very loyal player who would continue to do his best for us. As a squad player he would have utility but his main asset is being homegrown, that should never be the principal reason for keeping someone
  5. I think the issue is that the “intense press” is a bit all or nothing. It needs everyone on it working at 100%. If anyone is not on it then it starts to crack pretty quickly. We haven’t been able to use the press anywhere near as effectively as last season and we’re not a great team in possession of the ball. We need to marry the press approach with better technical ability in holding the ball and moving the ball. Those two together and then we’re deadly and probably end up not having as many injuries as we’re not absolutely at our limit all the time

If that’s true, then that’s really grim for them. They seem to be architects of their own downfall though
  7. The strange thing is that he could take Sean out of the team on account of playing through an injury and not damage Sean’s confidence. I just think Howe doesn’t like to change things unless he’s had a lot of time to work through things positionally with an alternative. It takes him ages to bring it into a match and even after several successful match performances he doesn’t like to persist with it. Given that our season is effectively a bit of a free hit for seventh at this point, without a huge amount riding on it, we should be playing Anderson and Hall for serious chunks of time unless there’s something glaringly missing for us fans that we’re not aware of

Clearing the vast majority of balls that get swung in from corners is a major strength. Getting his head on every single lofted ball from keepers that goes anywhere near him is also a strength, even if we don’t always win the second ball

He’s a top lad and does have some unique strengths. My main issue isn’t even defensively although it’s tough seeing him get skinned. My main problem is that I always want wide players to be quality on the ball and able to either carry it or play quality passes. I’ve loved him as a player for us but I cannot face the idea of him being our main LB next year

Actually has the ability to receive the ball cleanly, find a yard and play a progressive pass. Longstaff can do those as long as he isn’t under any pressure. Unfortunately in the premier league you rarely get much time on the ball without pressure
  11. Wouldn’t say it was a good performance but we played better with the ball than we have done recently. We messed up the few chances we had and our perennial problem of getting played through midfield straight up against a defender through the middle was as present as ever. Shame we didn’t have more of the ball but it’s just a nightmare against them

Needs a catchphrase or something to convince Howe to give him minutes, wonder if Howe just keeps forgetting he exists because he’s so unassuming. Maybe one of those Michael Owen brochures with a tagline, thinking either - ”Ready? I was born ready” ”I’ve had my ready brek, gaffer” ”Hall’s getting ready to rumble, Hall’s getting ready to rumble” with a character reference endorsement from Ant and Dec
  13. Miley is a really intelligent player, can’t wait for him to develop more

As we all knew, he’s a lovely player on the ball
  15. Unbelievable how the best club in the world currently, who have a world class academy, the best facilities and have been one of the richest clubs for years keep producing good academy players? It’s a mystery
  16. Cupcake dog seeing Longstaff subbed, someone needs to photoshop it @TBG
  17. His internship is going well, he’s got a job for life as the tea man if he never gets another game of football
