That team should crush them

Dummett is probably the most extreme example I’ve seen in football of someone who is completely lacking in football ability and technique yet actually a very good defender if you’re only marking him on his ability to curtail attacks and position himself effectively. Shame about his injuries but he had the best career he was ever going to have given his ability on the ball

Delighted for Anderson. So shit how his season has been ruined by injuries, he’d have had tons of minutes otherwise
-
Made me warm to Maradona a lot more how much he loved Jonas
-
Could see that being a total failure
-
An incredibly likeable player. Completely agree with the Miggy comparisons. If he was with us now we’d be having the same discussions that we do about Miggy. Jonas’s ability at striking a ball was so poor. In my top ten Newcastle players of my lifetime. We should do a thread on our top ten favourite players irrespective of their ability

Him and Grealish are the two PL greats at buying fouls
-
Agreed, the only way this doesn’t get sorted is if Jow is desperate to leave which I don’t think is the case. Keeping Bruno without CL football is a different challenge
-
Not seen the evidence to suggest Pochettino is out of his depth. He made a stupid decision to go to Chelsea just like Potter did. They’re a fucking mess of a football club, owned by someone incredibly out of their depth. Their transfer strategy has been among the worst football has ever seen. It was always going to take more than half a season to get them into any kind of working order. You can finally see certain things working for them, would be hilarious if they sacked Poch now
-
Hope we absolutely smash these like, need both a result and a performance
-
Chilwell is a decent player in fairness and is a lot more durable than Reece James, whose career feels like it’s close to over
-
They’ve actually started to look a lot more like a team recently. The best thing they could do is sack him (for us that is)

I can’t see us finishing sixth or seventh with the squad issues we still face. The consistency required feels out of reach given the amount of goals we’re shipping. It’s not impossible but I’ve got no hope for it whereas I do think there’s hope we could get to an FA cup final. Even if we were to finish in the Europa conference league spot I wouldn’t feel that excited in all honesty. If we have the squad to compete in Europe then it’s different but the idea of trying to compete again on multiple fronts with a threadbare squad is disheartening

I’d say it’s a rare must-win in that it doesn’t have a bearing on the manager’s position, it’s not going to affect relegation etc but if we lose it completely changes how everything feels for the rest of the season and it basically makes the season a write off. The season can still feel positive if we get to Wembley
-
That’s a brutal image for us like
-
Been a poor game this between West Ham and Brentford. Neither side is playing well but Brentford’s defence has been awful
-
Just have to find a £110m buyer for Caicedo, can’t be too hard
-
Already started looking at replacements should they part ways? What a bizarre way of wording things, like it’s some sort of passive event that could just happen without anyone making the decision

“I’m just here to enjoy the ride, provided the ride is faultless and we rise to the top immediately”
-
Got to get that anger out there somehow
-
We’re going to see a fair few column inches trashing Ashworth I’m sure
-
This fawning over Klopp is tipping me over the edge - “Defies logic” ”Shows the little man can win” ”It takes a special man to do something this special” Fuck right off. Excruciating
-
Aye, I’d be massively worried if the manager didn’t want to have a big say
-
Reeks of Ashley that sort of business. Get a news article out there about doing your utmost to sign an amazing player, wait for the transfer window to come round. Haggle for months over a few quid for an uninspiring signing, sign Harry Winks and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (on loan) on deadline day. The new Man U

That song still gives me chills on occasions
