Agree that it would be nice to have options but feels a push to integrate them into the team so they’d have a significant role by Feb. Especially as we’ll likely do late business if we do any. Would still be great to have more bench options

Ikon doing his level best to compensate for Neesy not being here anymore with that post

He’ll be weighing up how many views he can get if he films it and uploads to YouTube / RedTube

Can’t even put into words how massive this is for us

Boehly: “Howdy there boys, I like me the look of that there player, $100m says I wants him.” Southampton: “We signed him days ago” Boehly: “I says I wants him and gimme a looksie at them other quarterbacks and wide receivers while we’re at it, I gots another hundy burning a hole in mah goddamn pocket”

Eurgh, any one of those could change the game in ten mins but especially Haaland

Watching PSG, Ekitike looks like an absolute baller in fairness

When you think about money spent it’s clearly a very poor return. I think you’ve got a bright future now that Emery’s there though
-
I think another element to our success in keeping clean sheets alongside Pope’s outstanding ability, our defensive shape and quality, and how much the rest of the team tracks back to stop attacks building is the fact that because we restrict teams to few chances they snatch at them more. Take a look at the chances Vardy had last night, when players know they have to score because they might not get another chance they put more pressure on themselves and are less likely to score

Will Smith gif - Take Willock’s name out of your goddamn mouth

He was given a lot of stick when his performances dropped under Bruce, granted. I think people have backed him a lot this season, especially over the last ten games. People are seeing more and more what he offers but there are still two major areas where he can focus on improving his game. Hopefully he can do it
-
Wouldn’t exactly call Longstaff a whipping boy, I think he has some people who back him more than the average player because he’s local, a minority who complain more because he’s local and a lot who just respond to his performances based on the good and bad. Obviously, it’s far more obvious when something goes wrong like a skied shot than when he tracks back and kills an attack just past the halfway line. Everyone knows what he’s good at and poor at, if he improves the areas he’s poorer at (holding onto the ball too long, missing shots) then he is a massive asset. If he doesn’t then it’s hard to see him being more than a squad player in future seasons

You may have seen different matches to me but I’ve seen Bailey have some shockers. I feel like Digne was made out to be an amazing signing, but has generally been a let down, maybe down to injuries. Ings actually has a lot more goals than I realised but whenever I’ve watched him for Villa I’ve seen him miss all his chances so maybe he’s been fine
-
Agreed, think he’ll get us at least one or two vital goals and assists before the end of the season. I don’t think he can affect games with just fifteen minute cameos though, he’s the kind of player who needs to come on at 60 mins

Time for us to start making some moves I think, we want people in the age bracket 17-23 realistically with huge ceilings. Let Eddie work his magic. CM, RB, AM all useful positions we could fill. I think Willock should be played LW from now on, he’s proved himself there, ASM is cover. On the right, no one is taking Almiron’s place but we need cover there too as I’m done with seeing Murphy come on
-
I agree that he’s becoming a box-to-box player, and I think he has good vision and has shown some nice quality at times with his passing in forward positions. However, he can only ever truly be considered box-to-box if he sorts out his shooting
-
I like Buendia, the money on Ings, Bailey and Digne has basically been completely wasted

What have Villa done with the Grealish money? Has any of it been really well spent? Feel like their squad is full of average-good players but no one genuinely class and yet they’ve spent a lot
