With Shola's fitness he could end up with 20 games this season Good, I personally think there'll be little pressure on him and expect him to play with the kind of attitude that most players lose after twenty. Looking forward to seeing more of him in the cups I doubt he will get many chances to be honest, but I'd like to see more of him at this age. In the past it always felt like the progress of local kids like Brayson and Chopras suffered as there was a fairly big queue in front of them and we wouldn't risk it. Absolutely, neesy posted somewhere else that if we played him a lot, it'd be bad for him. The main problem with NUFC for years is not playing youth enough (maybe they've been mostly shit but this lad looks like he has something). He should be getting as much experience as his body can handle

He thought he'd have a better chance of getting into the Spain squad. We're a much better team now and have quality throughout the squad rather than 3 players or so when he was around. There is a lot of this sentiment but whats the opportunity? To consolidate 5th? To break the top four (3 places are almost certainly gone)? I'm not saying its not frustrating, or that the board haven't pulled their finger out but you get the feeling that everyone would have been reasonably satisfied had the Debuchy deal gone through. Whilst we may have been easier on the eye i'm not sure the substantive difference (i.e. European Qualification domestic cup success, Domestic League Place) any additions would have guaranteed. The main concern for me is still cover at centre back and more generally cover in the squad. But even if players had been bought for these roles I doubt they would have had the necessary wow factor to placate fans. Disappointing window but hardly the end of the world. excellent summation

I don't think anyone's saying it's been anything worse than a mediocre window. Doesn't mean we're necessarily going to struggle or that it has any implications on how we'll conduct business in future windows. We evidently have very strict rules on how we go about getting players in but when they come in, they're invariably very good
