  1. I think his reporting on our signings, especially those from abroad has been abject. He had no idea what was going on. I couldn’t really care less either way, I’m sure he does have some links to knowing what’s going on so I’m not going to discount everything he writes but his hit rate is very low. It doesn’t help that he’s a WUM and is desperate for attention
  2. I love Ziyech but don’t think he’s right for us really
  3. Agreed, 320 minutes of football tells me he’s ready for the scrap heap. Not really fussed about the fact he was outstanding at Bristol Rovers or the fact that he’s 20, hound him out!
  4. Stick another one on for good measure, Botman. 5-0 trouncing
  5. His ability at getting the ball out of his feet is amazing, that turn he did that’s mentioned above was a fantastic piece of skill and his turn and shot was also great. He’s such an archetypal striker, comes to life in a second. Looking forward to him putting some away in the next few fixtures
  6. Surely not, can Boehly afford to lose that sort of human capital?
  7. Surely we all would, that trophy cabinet can’t just collect dust forevermore. Although, I don’t mean to discredit the Diriyah Season Cup as silverware doesn’t come more precious than that
  8. Interesting, a loan deal would be a better fit for me than a proper contract, but with the option to buy. I think Eddie said he’d only really look at those deals for loans anyway
  9. We’ve lost our best passer in Bruno if he’s injured for any length of time. No one else slides balls in like he does. He basically puts at least one chance on a plate every game. We desperately need another midfielder who has fantastic vision and technique to release the types of balls Bruno does
  10. What a loser that lad was, you could see him laughing sheepishly behind his scarf after doing it and the stewards pushing him back. Sad waste of space
  11. Agreed, I’d put money on this if I put bets on
  12. Going to Chelsea is like the millionaire version of the dole, you have to turn up once a week to the bench for your paycheck and you have to occasionally go out on loan

    Joe Willock

Just on that note, Odegaard is quite clearly a superstar. He’s one of the best players in the league
  14. No chance but I think we’ll get top 4
  15. Liverpool are done this season, their defence is the poorest by far in all the Klopp years. Their midfield is weaker too and Salah is beginning to falter while Nunez is incredibly unpredictable. Looking forward to more of Klopp’s rantings as the season goes on

Genuinely don’t know how to respond to that. He consistently beats his man on the left with pace, he drives inside with his dribbling as well so he takes up really dangerous positions. He drags our team yards forward in seconds, quicker than anyone else because of his pace at running with the ball. His delivery is good but could be better at times, I think his main area to work on is being decisive about whether to take shots on himself or find someone else. He will have a class second half of the season I’m sure of it
  17. Think that’s laying it on a big thick. A lot of fans are praising him and seeing what he brings to the team. He’s a clever player, great movement, amazing work rate, great defensive contribution too. He’s close to being the key to our success if he can contribute more balls in like the cross today or if he can start getting shots on target more
  18. Sadly that’s the type of player he’ll always be, even if he manages to improve his distribution and decision making. He’s never going to be as consistent a player as anyone else in the side because his best trait is his dribbling which is always going to be a bit hit and miss. I think that he can still be a really great player for us if he improves his passing and decision making but he’s never going to play in the system that Howe has set up in the way that others do
  19. Maxi is our best player for dragging multiple opposition players towards the ball, invariably he ends up with two people on him. With Isak in there and Willock we have major pace to take advantage of that, especially if Maxi can release the ball quicker. I don’t think he’s the answer to beating teams who play with a low block but he can definitely be the answer if we play teams who come onto us
  20. I just don’t think you can grab someone’s arm and pull it back. It might not be much contact but it’s so easy for refs to call and give it, and we should never be holding in the area like that, especially when it’s 1 v 1
  21. This sounds dodgy as fuck, premier league governance is clearly a shambles, especially when you consider what’s happened with a Chelsea as well https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jan/15/questions-mount-over-alisher-usmanovs-links-with-everton-fc

Everyone has an opinion and I don’t ever want to be too harsh to anyone as it’s not like we’re dealing with objective truth but I find it odd that anyone could look at this lad and think he’s nothing special. He’s got enormous talent, if he develops more consistency in his final delivery and finishing then he’ll be one of the better wide players / AMs in the league
  23. Looking forward to Arsenal agreeing terms then Chelsea swooping in with the £100m bid
  24. Yup, ankles are disgusting, such little blood flow to heal up
