  1. I’d love to see Hayden’s heat map of time spent on his arse as opposed to on his feet

    Sunderland

Oof, I love it when they refer back to times where they were ‘top dogs’
  3. @Conjoit’s not a hill I’m willing to die on as I checked out of watching our games under Bruce but I don’t remember games where he defended very poorly under Rafa
  4. I think stealing a living is a bit harsh. I don’t think there’s a single fan that will argue he’s a quality footballer. He’s genuinely awful on the ball but positionally in defence he’s generally always been good, it feels like it’s dropped off a bit this season. His hoofing of the ball is appalling but he’s been symptomatic of who we’ve been as a club for 14 years, looking to achieve the bare minimum. However, he always gives everything, loves the club and has almost never put in a really poor defensive performance. Yes, he needs to go but I don’t think he’s stolen a living as a footballer even though he can’t kick a football
  5. I like Dummett, he loves the club, always gives his all and he is a good defender. We all know his shortcomings as a footballer and I think this should be his last season at the club
  6. Back in the toon for this one, although my train has fucked me and I’m going to miss the first half. Where’s the closest place to the central station showing the match? Couldn’t care less anything else about the pub, just the closest one
  7. @GM is based in Scotland but can’t remember if he’s Glasgow or Edinburgh. Don’t think he’s as engaged as he used to be though
  8. They were both marginal decisions but if we’d had an offside called for that I’d have been absolutely livid

    Joelinton

Put him anywhere on the park apart from striker. He’s fast becoming one of my favourite NUFC players of all time. If he stays with us and continues to develop through his 20s he’s going to be a genuine hero
  10. This is where I’m at I think, can’t see us scoring more than two goals before the end of the season and I think if I had to predict how many we’re likely to concede I’d say 34. Who are we getting our three draws against though? I can’t see it right now
  11. Struggling to see a win, especially with the injury to Trippier but I think we can grind out a point here, preferably via Joelinton slicing the ball off Kurt Zouma’s cock, causing it to simultaneously deflect into the net and sever the cock from his body
  12. Want to see Joelinton score then chin Gerrard, that’s all I ask for, and three points as well I guess
  13. Yeah, but not realistically for the January window. I think he could be one we look at in the summer if we stay up
  14. Tell me a club’s financially fucked without telling me they’re financially fucked
  15. If you’ve watched Everton play recently, they definitely can go down. It’s not like they’ve been unlucky, they’ve been tragically bad. I’ve said it already but if English Frank doesn’t get a bounce in their next two games and DCL doesn’t recover and get his form back they’ve got a decent chance of going down. I think all the other teams fighting for relegation have a better mentality and a clearer plan on the way they’re going to play
  16. I think the relegation fear has been a big catalyst alongside the takeover in reenergising my love for the club. The fact that there’s so much riding on every result for us and for a few other teams means that NUFC has gone from something I engaged with at the most basic level (checking results, reading on here) post-Rafa to refreshing this website and following almost everything that’s coming out of the club + watching and listening to other games again. Didn’t think I’d get reeled in again like when I was younger but the relegation fever is definitely helping
  17. Great to see Bigi getting a start and always happy to see Ben Arfa. I hope Saylor has the captain’s armband. I’d also have Rivière starting instead of Smith but that’s just me. The question I want to ask is why is there no Obertan in there?
  18. Sounds like he’s not starting, want to see him on the pitch a lot earlier than 90 mins, especially as the midfield are going to get a bit of a wake up on Sunday after playing some poor teams
  19. I imagine so, I saw some of his line ups a week ago and they were awful so I imagined it was a wine-up
  20. Love your lineups Johnny, any way you could fit Almiron in the side and take out Trippier to make it more balanced? Cheers
  21. Just got to hope it ramps up even more before the end of the season and he attempts to jaw a teammate who doesn’t pass to him when they’re clean through

    Kevin Keegan

Yeah, might be worth hauling Outremont off after only five mins, absolute horrorshow of a debut and I can’t see any way back for him
