Was never really too bothered about Kone, considering I only anticipate one incoming striker. Might be more disappointed about this if we end up with Bent.

Agree that he'll probably stay with us (due to our lack of depth in forward positions). Hopefully he has the talent to make an impact for us when he does get a chance- I've been very impressed with the little I've seen of him.

Also thinks Tom Ince is coming here. Definitely doesn't have a clue. When did he say all this? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11096/8800903/Transfer-debate

Good signing for them imo. They need at least two other strikers/forwards though.
-
Would much rather have Kone/Remy.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/wolves-wait-wings-newcastle-uniteds-4866512 Wouldn't want to see him sold at this point. One of the most likely out of our current crop of youngsters to make it in the PL.

. Personally I would like to see him as the furthest forward in a midfield three, but also think he could operate in a freer wide role pretty well.

Being more widely reported now. http://tyneandwear.sky.com/newcastleunited/article/72370/newcastle-united-target-pierre-emerick-aubameyang-tipped-for Pierre- Patrick Eggyman . Fucking Craig David. Kinnear's illness is contagious it seems.

Yep, potentially a bigger role for Bigi and increased use of Anita. Worth selling Perch just for that really. Not at all. One represents little more than potential at this point and the other is an unknown quantity that Pardew is incapable of best utilising. No reason not to keep Perch around at all imo. As others have said, he's an exemplary professional who provides adequate cover in numerous positions. In theory the manager should be capable of using them all appropriately. I just mean that for me, it is worth selling Perch so that we have to use Bigi and Anita more, because that's what I want to see happen. He only provides adequate cover at DM though, IMO. He's appalling at fullback and only just about acceptable at CB. He is a great pro though and he has improved a lot when other people would have crumbled. I don't dislike him, I just don't really rate him much. Personally I don't think having Bigi or Anita instead of Perch last year would have made a huge difference to us in many games. Bigi is a player with raw attributes and potential, and Anita is a massive question mark given the way the team is set up. Pardew did use Perch when he shouldn't have done at times last season, but the root problem here is surely his cowardly outlook rather than Perch himself. I actually think he is 6/10 on most days in all of the positions he can play, possibly with the exception of fullback (terrible in his first few games with us, has looked ok there since) .

La Gazetta dello sport reporting it, too.

. Would be absolutely gutted to see him go. He's more than good enough to be a permanent fixture in the team, and absolutely one of our most naturally talented players imo.
-
About his level.Happy to see the back of him tbh.
-
Also, quotes from Aubameyang's agent in the Italian press claiming the asking price for him is 15m euros.
-
SportsDirect News reckon we're in for Belhanda. Him and Rooney should link up well.
-
Doesn't Aubameyang have a release clause? Anyway, going to try and avoid getting my hopes up about this transfer, I can't believe we've bid that much tbh. Would be more than happy if he was our only signing this summer.

Don't agree at all. I'd gladly swap our owner,DOF and manager with theirs at the moment. Even on the scouting front they seem to be improving as we look like we might be in danger of regressing.(http://www.journallive.co.uk/safc/safc-news/2013/06/26/what-is-paolo-di-canio-thinking-at-sunderland-61634-33526956/)

Really hope we're still in for Aubameyang if we've got that much to spend on a striker. Not overly impressed by Bony, especially since it would probably signal a formation change to 4-4-2, but would obviously prefer him to Bent.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8789177/ Should have been given more of a chance imo. Couldn't have done much worse than Ameobi coming on after 70 minutes every game.
