  1. Lee Ryder ‏@lee_ryder 18m Sissoko heads over to #nufc fans to hand shirt into the crowd. Probably the only player to emerge with credit today.
  2. Yep. Can't see where the points are coming from outside of these games. Worrying.
  3. Thought it was a strange signing at the time. Lightweight, and certainly doesn't fit into our team under Pardew. Might look good at Swansea, maybe.
  4. Listen mate. Ashley has backed this idiot to the hilt. It's Pardew's fault and nobody else's. I don't believe Ashley couldn't attract a better manager, either.
  5. Going to appreciate Debuchy even more by the end of this game.
  6. Williamson was linked with Swansea in the chronicle today.
  7. Was linked with Liverpool today.
  8. Me too. He's also overrated and I get the impression we didn't do a very thorough character check on him (judging by a few stories I read in the French press).

Think Sunderland and ourselves have an almost equal chance of going down (i.e. an outside chance).

  12. . If we sign him it will be a pretty damning indication of what Pardew's footballing philosophy amounts to. Don't believe we would sign him to sit on the bench or to be our 'Ameobi option' () either.

  14. He's been impressive so far on the whole, but those saying he is better than Colo clearly jumped the gun.

    Alan Pardew

Great post . The bit in bold is what it ultimately boils down to- I don't want to look back in a few years remembering Pardew as the man who failed to realise the potential of a great squad of players, which I believe we have (especially in light of the january additions). Wigan looking superior to us today in terms of ball retention, movement and attacking fluidity wasn't anomalous- this has been the case practically all season, whoever we have played.
  16. Yep. Another good game, I thought. Especially considering where the team is in terms of movement and fluidity.
  17. He's not a box to box midfielder either as you need to be able to tackle and he can't. Would want to see him in our team playing a box-to-box role before making that judgement, but I would imagine his physical presence and energy would be useful defensively in a deeper position.
