I reckon he's waiting to see what investment is made at the beginning of the summer. Trying not to get my hopes up too much though, only to be let down- excellent performance today.

Those comments, with reference to next season, are encouraging. Don't want to get my hopes up too much only to be let down, but he didn't have to make those comments even if he doesn't want to directly talk about his future.

Also interested in O'Hara according to the sunday sun.

Luis enrique again. Bartons looking good so far.

Luis enrique at left back

He also said Tiote nearly left in january, which I don't think was even possible because of him only being here half a season. Bitterness for me.

Rumoured to have tied up the deal for Marveux as well.

Best-Keep Ameobi-Keep Lovenkrands-Release Ranger-Loan Would ideally look to add one top quality striker and one other competent backup (Elmander?) to what we have, but I also think Pardew is looking at 4-5-1 for next season after reading his comments about Ben Arfa playing as a number 10- which probably means that only one striker will be coming in imo.

Think it could have been lost in translation a little- I think he said had/have to go when talking about staying in England or going abroad aswell- something along the lines of "if i have to go to another league.." That said, I still think its likely he's off in the summer. For those who haven't seen it : http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qcpj5 Interview starts at about 7:15.

Europe: would you take, er, 5th place right now?
Barnes23 replied to kirkwdavis2001's topic in Football
Can we still qualify through 7th if an English team win the europa league,or will that actually further reduce the amount of qualification spots as with the champions league winners? -
Game against everton next week is crucial if we want to push for 7th by the end of the season. Everton seem to be on the ascendancy at the moment, though.

Pleased with the point.

For me, we need,in order of priority (In brackets are a few suggestions I've seen us linked with, there probably is better players/value to be found) : 2-3 strikers ( Gervinho,Elmander, maybe a promising young striker from Europe?) Cover at DM and LB A quality winger to compete for a first team place (Marveux,Piatti,Perotti?) Stephen Ireland permanently if he proves to be a success. Another centre back to act as cover as Sol will probably be on his way out (We could improve on Saylor/Williamson in the first team, but with their 5 year contracts and adequate performances this season I don't think we will).
