  1. He was injured at the start of the season and Forest did well without him. It's only natural that Pearce would keep to a winning side and not change things unnecessarily. I believe it was similar last season, when he came in after one of the senior CBs got injured, then did well for the majority of the games until his CB partner sustained an injury towards the tail end of the season. Forest strengthening in his position in the summer and the subsequent lack of playing time also played a part. He did come on in the first half of their last league game so he might be gradually working himself into the team.
  2. Probably to get his lapdogs (odds on Llambias?) in place of the incumbents so that it makes him easier to influence decisions by proxy since he can't raise his stake.
  3. Can't see the SPL being a more attractive advertising vehicle than the PL either. He won't make more money out of their league either. The only question is since he already has the merchandising and the stadium naming rights sorted, why would he see the need to increase his stake and get rid of the CEO? God knows what his plans for Rangers are and how much he would bring them to their knees in order to achieve them.
  4. Should have actively tried to get a loan spell for him. 2013/14 was a total write-off and it's no different this season either. Send him back to Coventry, cover his meager wages or something so that he gets match experience at least. Armstrong also had a waste opportunity when clubs were willing to take him on loan recently. We held him back due to de Jong's injury. He's behind Cisse, Riviere and Ayoze and we play with one striker. The most he could realistically expect is a 'run' in the domestic cups. Look at Spurs sending all their youngsters out whenever there's an opportunity. A number of them came back with match experience and contributed to their first team. Walker, Livermore, Townsend, Rose etc.
  5. :anguish::anguish::anguish::anguish: Why is this person writing single sentence paragraphs? Does he write children books? http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,95522.msg5115485.html#msg5115485 Ryder's an expert in this.

  7. He seemed to rule out a return to the PL in the same interview btw. There aren't many PL clubs in the CL which would offer him a guaranteed regular spot and pay the kind of money PSG would most likely ask. (need to balance FFP anarl)
  8. Didn't even know Henderson is their vice-captain now. Suppose their plan is when when Gerrard retires, Henderson will become the main man in midfield. Not suggesting he's a like-for-like replacement mind.
  9. Afaik PSG were the only ones willing to pay our asking price. And when it comes to choosing between us and them...
  10. Think he was already out of the international spotlight by the time he moved to France.
  11. "Ryan, I need ya to aim for fretful Willo on those set pieces. "
  12. Was back with Spurs when he won his only cap.

  16. Kitson looks out of place there. I'd play 3-times WPOTY Joe Kinnear.
  17. I could imagine palnese saying he doesn't tackle hard enough. The Norwegian posters should be able to tell you more about their wunderkind.

  21. Cos he doesn't give a damn about any hero status. As long as he gets the free worldwide advertising for his brand without incurring a loss in running the club, he's a happy man.
  22. Hamstring injury... Hello, Anita. Welcome back, Ryan.
  23. Yeah, saw that in one of the articles the other day. Edit: The writing standards on that article That your regional paper? The other article with Venables having previously been real close to managing in SJP cracked me up too.
