I honestly don’t know what’s going on with the officiating of football anymore. Officials don’t employ the rules and seem intent on having an influence on the outcome of a game. It’s not consistent and they are not neutral any more.

These officials need doing for corruption or incompetence, whichever one it is. Even Stevie Wonder would have given a yellow card there.

£15m for a very reliable squad option who you know won’t let you down, is a good character and who doesn’t moan about being left out is a pretty good investment I’d say. I’d definitely call it a success. Totally understand if people have a different view….. even if it’s wrong ?
