  1. Shot out of the dugout like he was coming out of trap 3 at Newcastle Dogs Didn't Gordon appear later on, as well?
  2. Well fine. If you're gonna throw Ana De Armas into the mix. Then I'll watch it another 20 times
  3. Said it before that it could just be a coincidence. But since Bruno has got injured, he has looked miles better and more comfortable in what it is he is supposed to be doing. Great that he has finally started weighing in with goals or at least getting more shots off. He is such a good striker of a ball and also has such an engine on him to help crashing the box. That he could and probably should score a lot more.

    Joelinton

I was watching the game with a mate last night who only really half follows football. He couldn't get enough of Big Joe's antics. Said he was single handedly running the show. Not wrong.
  5. I still think he will come unstuck when playing against teams that sit deep and have aggressive meathead CB's. Exactly like Everton at the weekend just gone. Although him shifting positions was more down to Woltemade and Joelinton not working at all in their respective positions. I don't think his movement is bad or anything. He actually looks to drop in and link play, he looks good coming deep for the ball and of course can go in behind and brings energy to our press. I just don't think he has much presence (none of our strikers do), unless he has space to work in. He has looked our best option up there this season. But that isn't necessarily a ringing endorsement. I still wouldn't want to be relying on him finishing say, 1 of 3 half decent chances that come his way during a game. He is still barely scoring from open play in the league and I don't think he is a quality finisher or a clean striker of the ball. I'm not sure he ever will be. The next 4 games should really be ideal for his playing style. City and Barca in particular leave acres in behind and are often short on numbers at the back on transitions. I think he can and will cause them all sorts of problems, actually.
  6. I love how from the minute Ramsey was sent off. The way he started playing was like he was proper fucked off with it all and wanted to take the game by the scruff of the neck. He seemed to get even quicker. Fuelled by a sense of injustice

    Harvey Barnes

The goals and assists have definitely dried up, bar Qarabag. But he is still regularly involved in a lot of our attacking play. Whether that is getting decent enough crosses in, getting shots off or missing chances. Even when he is a bit out of form like he is now. I still feel like he is more likely to make things happen than almost all of our players. He is just never going to be the type to beat players down the line for skill or with pace. Never been his game. So when it isn't coming off, he looks a bit poor and people like to say he's 'disappeared'. Which is a bit of a throwaway comment, IMO. I also think teams are really starting to take him and in particular, Hall, seriously. That left side gets a lot of attention. Whereas we usually offer fuck all down the right. Which has been a theme for a while and pre-dates this season.
  8. Just came in here to post exactly this. Didn't realise in all the pandemonium that it was him that held it up, laid it off to Trippier and then got on his bike to run the channel. So happy for him. He often looks good in cameo roles, full of energy, bit of chaos, the odd trick, raw speed. But then gets the chance from the start and looks terrible. Before he finds himself back on the bench. Never impacted a game like that and against such strong opposition, though. The Liverpool one doesn't really compare and we somehow still lost that! I'm hoping he can carry on being the super sub or at least a genuine option off the bench in certain games between now and the end of the season. Is Wissa now our 4th choice striker?!
  9. Fernandes could/should get a yellow for dissent after almost every decision. Whether it’s a blatant foul the ref dare gives against him. A throw the other way. Awarding a goal kick and not a corner. He’s in the ref’s face on full blast and it goes on way longer than most get away with. Such a detestable cunt of a player. The perfect blend of being really good and a horrible, whiney cunt. Which makes him even more dislikable. Joelinton does similar, mind
  10. They were great first two games and deserved the win against the best two teams in the country. Not been overly impressed by them since. Been winning through a moment of brilliance, getting results from late goals and not playing that well otherwise. From what I’ve seen, anyway. Not that I pay too much attention, so might be wide of the mark. We were great tonight. But they were so passive. Almost less of a threat when we were down to 10 as they couldn’t counter effectively. They only looked to have a go the last 15-20 minutes and seemed clueless for most of that second half. Strange old tactics.
  11. Villa are having a turbulent old time. Must only be a couple of wins in their last 10 league games. Of course one was against us
  12. Desperately need to get some sleep. But I’m wired after that.
  13. We’ve finally won a Prem game without him. Curse lifted.
  14. Probably be cramp, no? Often comes off before doing 90 and it is usually when he has been in high press mode from the middle and sprint after sprint.
  15. He seemed to take the red card personally. Went into overdrive after that. Ran himself into the ground.
  16. That was the most enjoyable win of the season. Even with 11 it would have felt a bit unexpected with the way we have been playing of late. But to overcome adversity, play a half with 10 and then still win. With the bonus being that it was against those utter cunts. Just orgasmic stuff. Hard to name a MOTM. I thought to a man, they were all brilliant and did their job and then some. Ramsdale, Tonali, Joelinton, Trippier and Burn in particular were mustard.

    Joelinton

Radge. Always goes into beast mode against Man U. Was dominant when it was 11 v 11.
  18. Fair play to Howe and Ramsdale. Still a big call to drop Pope. Regardless of how ropey he has been. Ramsdale has risen to the challenge and Howe’s decision was vindicated.
  19. Probably MOTM along with Big Joe, Tonali and Trippier. Fuck it. All of them. Ref was their MOTM.
  20. It is coming in for second yellows. But they wouldn’t have overturned that I don’t think. Even though it was the wrong decision.
  21. What?! I must have missed this. How anyone could watch his performances this season and think he is worth the money and the wages is beyond me. Anyway. Big half please Aaron
  22. Harsh red that. You have to be 100% for a second yellow. Players literally feign injury and try and con the ref every tackle. You can’t be sure there. Wasn’t giving it, got a load of abuse from Ratboy and co. Then brandishes a yellow. What is the point.
  23. Ref playing unlimited stoppage time for these manc cunts and all. Dracula looking prick needs a slap
