  1. That engine. The commentator was saying how we looked leggy around 92 minutes. During which time Tonali had just sprinted back 30 yards or so. Then hounded the Brentford player all the way to the touchline until he pressured him into losing the ball. Leggy
  2. 2 legs in the semi final lad. Win and a draw it is.
  3. Fucking hell. I thought I was negative. We had plenty of chances from open play where we were a few inches away from a great finish or a well worked goal. Leicester was the same. We’ve had fuck all from set pieces for ages. I’m glad we’re finally scoring from them and causing the other team problems.
  4. Not surprised he was out of position. We were still supporting attacks from the full back positions and Osula gave it away in a dangerous area when we had good possession deep in their half.
  5. That’s why Osula isn’t getting more minutes. His last two cameos have been pretty bad. Lord help us if Isak gets injured…..
  6. The last 4 games. The goals have returned at the very least. Is that 12 in 4 now? The performances in 3 out of 4 have been good and all. Well, 7 halves out of 8, really.
  7. You’d be fucked off as a Brentford fan. No real reason for Frank to make wholesale changes. Massively changed their team and then not turned up and they’ve come up against us on a going night. Lucky it’s not 4 or 5. Have that.
  8. Why? He isn’t a Howe player at all. Almost the polar opposite. Even if you think Mitchell is the main man and calls the shots now and Howe might be going. Even if you imagine for a minute PSR didn’t exist. Why would we be interested in him and why would it be a good signing? Numbers nowhere near his worth and wages. 27 years old, so not much re-sale value if he suddenly became good/started trying again. Off field issues by all accounts. Genuinely interested what reasons people have for him being a good signing for someone?!
  9. I remember as he hit that saying something like “well done. Another shot over the bar from miles out.” Because of the lack of celebration and the speed it went in at. It took me a good few seconds to realise it was a goal
  10. Mad as a box of frogs. Love him
  11. Nah. Think he is very talented. But clearly has issues away from football and in how he applies himself. Sounds like a terrible trainer, out on the smash a fair bit and have you seen him off the ball? Makes ASM look like Kante with his work rate. Can’t be arsed to put effort in for his boyhood club. Why would it be different here or somewhere else? Shame he’s gone down this route. I used to really like him as a player and seemed a great person off the pitch.
  12. I can understand this. Used to be a running joke that I was translator when we were up for a game. I’m not from the NE. But had family that were and also spent a lot of time up there. Happens with loads of accents when people move away, too. Then they go back to a stronger, thicker accent when they’re back home.
  13. The Chelsea game was like basketball at times. So fingers crossed. We were more than in the game against them first 55 minutes or whatever it was the other week. If we could just avoid gifting them 3 goals again. We might be alright tomorrow.
  14. Is it wrong that I immediately thought of this as a genuine possibility when I heard it on the radio this morning?
  15. Great leap for a little guy, though. The problem was, much like his first touch and shooting. You didn't know where it was going. One of my favourite NUFC players, mind. My list of favourite players is very odd. The XI I would pick would get absolute pelters, I reckon.
  16. Santi Cazorla probably the best when it came to being two footed. Think he may have even scored, or at least come close to scoring a free kick on his weaker peg. Would take corners and free kicks off both.
  17. Also, in the grand scheme of things. Tomorrow is much more important than Ipswich. Play your strongest team. Would also be odd to give Miley his first start and meaningful minutes in a long while, in a cup quarter final.
  18. Stop feeding the troll. Edited that. As I remembered Froggy is Irish
  19. Possibly semantics, but during their time in the prem. I wouldn't even class Ronaldo or Bale as 'forwards'. They were wingers, I would have said? Didn't they often play in a midfield 4 for quite a lot of the time? Obviously they evolved, along with the game and would start to play in a 3 and in Ronaldo's case and sometimes Bale's, through the middle. Ronaldo at number 3 is daft. Always surprises me that he is often in Prem best XI's, too. He was undoubtedly an outrageously good player. But it was after he left that his numbers and everything else went into the stratosphere. I feel like it is skewed on how he became one of the best of all time at Real Madrid and people use that to gauge him.
  20. He didn’t look quick when he came on against Bournemouth last season. Looked miles away from what is required. Hopefully he can make the next step and perhaps get a loan somewhere.

Nah. Sounds a bit northern and Willock is looking at the camera as it’s said. Where’s Gordon?….. Almost a bit scouse. Funny that it’s still on the video
  22. It’s the same at most grounds/big events. Fuck knows what people are checking. I can’t even send a whatsapp or text. Never mind check other scores.
