  1. Laseclles is a useless cunt overplaying there. Not sure why Pope is rooted to his line, unless he thinks it’s gone over. Nowhere near the corner.

Don’t think so. Find out in 9 minutes.
  4. Keeper has to be saving that. The Nick Pope’esque kick leading to it was even worse.
  5. Bit late with this. But City getting away with a cynical foul and no yellow. When yet again stopping a break. They do it about 5 times a game. Proper disgrace from the refs every week.
  6. I still think with FFP and the amount of areas that need depth/a possible upgrade. Keeper is quite a way down the list. Pope is fine for another season or two, I think.
  7. The bit about fouling is so true. Played with a good mate when he was on his way down the football pyramid from about 4-5 leagues higher than me. Always thought he was a cultured, left footed attacking mid type. Which he was. But fuck me, some of the subtle fouls made me blush and I was a dirty bastad when I needed to be
  8. Aye. I have had a flick through just now Playing against lads that have played higher is always tough. You just chase shadows for 90 minutes and they’re always 2-3 steps ahead. So frustrating. My Sunday league team was quality. 6-7 semi-pro players and a couple that ‘could’ have gone higher. I know everyone says that, mind. Had a massive cigar on in the middle of the park most the game easy enough with so many good players around you. My claim to fame for playing sport against people who are clearly just a million times better than you. Was playing American football. Efe Obada when he was at the London Warriors for one of his 5 games before going to the NFL. Absolute genetic freak. Was blocking two people at a time, an arm apiece Then playing against various Yanks in training, who had played high school or even college at a decent level. A truly humbling experience.
  9. If you don’t trust your knee. My advice would be not to bother. I binned off all sports and went back to uncompetitive 6 a side. As like you, I was missing team sports massively. I was fine for months and actually felt like my knee was the best it had been in years. Then one day it felt like a bomb went off in my leg. Completely innocuous, nobody even near me. Went down like a sniper had got me
  10. Mediocre. Played Rugby whilst at school, as I was much better at it and enjoyed it more. Just the higher you went, the more it became about which private school you went to. So switched back to football about 16 and it was a big change. I got to the higher end of local amateur football. Never good enough to even get the £30 a game semi-pro gig. But I was an ok defensive, sometimes box to box centre mid. Blew my knee out at 26 and needed a fairly big op. Then after a few attempted comebacks ended up with another three on top of that and could probably do with another one. All in the same knee. Certainly not ‘I had trials for West Ham but my knee injury stopped me turning pro’ levels of ability but it is depressing having to basically stop all sport when you get to 33.
  11. Can’t see us being able to do that away from home and straight after playing Chelsea, mind. Realistically, we are only going to have 1-2 players we can bring in on Tuesday to freshen things up. Assuming Isak is 100%. Then the starting XI available is still more than good enough to get something. There just isn’t any depth now because of all the injuries.
  12. Raya has been anything but solid since signing for them and all.
  13. The Spurs keeper looks incredible and only cost about £15-20m, I think? Hopefully a few more of them hiding around Europe. Can’t say I’d ever seen him play before. But he has been one of the best keepers, if not the best in the league this season. I would almost rather we took a punt on a player like that in future. Than waste £30-40m on Ramsdale. For no net gain on Pope’s abilities overall. Certainly been Eddie heavy recruitment from the Prem so far, mind. So I can see why it is an easy link for the media and fans alike to make.
  14. Ramsdale’s positioning is utter wank. If Pope was getting stick for the first Bournemouth goal. Ramsdale would be copping flak every week.
  15. His passing. Message ends.

    Joelinton

Sent off last night against Argentina. Never been a red. De Paul holding his face, when he was pushed in the chest, after trying to pull Joelinton back for a good few seconds and not letting go of his arm. Stupid response from Big Joe. But it’s still not a red. Yellow for each I would have thought.
  17. From the way it was reported before. It seems as if only Isak will be back and from the new injury scares. Miggy might be ok. But Longstaff and Schar might be fucked. Yay.
  18. The only one I could see where they were coming from was the ‘push’ from Joelinton. But it’s a coming together and then a swan dive from Gabriel. It’s less of a foul watching it back again with all the angles. They were correct to say ‘nothing that warrants him going down like that’ or words to that effect. He just flopped. Mental that so many fans don’t understand the clear and obvious bit, still.
  19. I don’t particularly like Jordan. Really not a fan of Murphy. But they seem like the best analysts/pundits on the planet. When you compare them to how Jim White presents his show. He is fucking unbearable.
  20. One of the highest tax paying individuals, or the highest in the country, I believe. At least she had the decency not to go offshore like the rest of the big corp. Shame they restrict/ban all the sharps and any decent traders/arbers or winning accounts, mind.
  21. Oh yeah, how could I forget ol’ Guilem. Loves a name drop that fucker
  22. I don't mind The Euro Leagues. You have to put up with some extremely pretentious journos, usually Julien 'PSG cheerleader' Laurens, James May, I mean James Horncastle and Raphael Honigstein. But I still think it is worth a listen to get up to speed on Germany, France and Italy.
  23. Isak is coming back, isn’t he and that’s it? No news on Almiron or Wilson. It’s a good chance for some to get some rest and over any niggles they have. But Trippier has been off his game for a while. He’ll be away and getting minutes for England. Joelinton was awful last night. He’ll be travelling halfway round the world. Schar went down hurt, hopefully tactical. But again, he’s off on international duty. We should be a touch better off than we were last night, purely because Bruno is such a massive player for us. But not by much. The squad depth might even be worse.
  24. I think Longstaff was playing injured and looked gassed before that, anyway. I’m guessing because of Miley’s age and also him not long being over glandular fever. They were always looking at a set time to bring him off.
