"If I did that on the street I'd be done for assault/If I did that on a night out, I'd get arrested." People commenting on challenges, elbows, punches etc. You are playing a contact sport, FFS. In what situatiom wpuld you be jumping for headers in a nightclub and elbowing people in the head, or double footing old ladies outside Greggs?! I'm sure I have gone on about this before. But it is infuriating. "That goal difference is worth an extra point." No. It isn't.

Thought he was missing that. Always looked a bit ropey from the spot. That was a right bullet.

Not seen much of Barca this year. Wow. They look terrible by their high standards. Shaky at the back all season and don't look like the dominant force of the last decade or so.
-
Reminded me of Kanye (before he went full blown radio rental) on Alan Carr joining in with the sunderland abuse.

It was a ridiculous booking, not even a foul. Sarcasm?

Fucking LOL I love this thread.

As a number 10/attacking mid?

Paul Merson and the Soccer Saturday panel (minus Jeff Stelling). In fact, many other ex-pros, who seemingly have no idea about football. I get that they played the game at a pro level and TV channels will always look to hire ex-pros as pundits. But it is quite insulting, when it seems like more than half of them, have less knowledge about the game than your average fan. They must get paid a pretty penny for doing it and have analysts helping them out before and during games. But could they not just do a bit of research so they don't come across as such mongs?

See the last two pages. Not really all that bad, too small of a sample size and I would say Shelvey and Gayle being injured had a HUGE impact. Which you have already acknowledged, TBF. Not to say I don't rate Cathro as a coach. Obviously highly rated, done it in Europe the proper way and I'm glad he is doing well now as a manager. Kris Boyd still mouthing off?

Apart from the fact he usually takes an age and about 4-5 attempts to control it. Which usually means his cross is blocked or he has to check back. His crossing is alright. Gouffran and Dummett together is just ghastly, though. Both are just so slow to react and take forever to do anything. Usually just ends up in a backwards/sideways pass or their flank just gets ignored when we start an attack. He is a solid enough player. I bet he is woeful at 3 touch 5 a side

Was going to react to this. Then I saw who posted it and just laughed

At his age and with how raw he is. He needs regular games to improve. Not going to get that here, clear Rafa isn't a big fan and TBH, he has been pretty shite on the whole when he has got a chance this season. I like him and I think there is a player in there somewhere. But his lack of mobility and composure means he will never be a top level striker.

6 away goals?! Wow. Didn't we havea similarly shit return, last season? Didn't end well for us.
-
I thought he was one of our better players last night? So about a 5 or 6 out of 10, then. To a man, we were just rubbish. Which is a bit if a worry. Glad we rested all those players at Oxford. Looked well worth it.
-
He's been stuck in reverse for quite a while now. Doesn't have a position and just looks slow and weak. Not sure what he bringgs to the team?
-
He has never been technically sound or good on the ball. But WTF was going on tonight? Seemed to be ambling about, newrly got caught in possession 4-5 times, clearances usually went straight to a QPR player and his touch and hoofing was far worse than usual. Was actually quite alarming how crap he looked.

The standard of officiating and football at this level is just tragically bad. About 5 decent players on the pitch, mistake after mistake, most our lot looked knackered, uninspired and uninterested. It's a shame Sky have chosen so many of our games in the coming weeks. I've been enjoying my life more when I've not had to watch us
-
Have we come from behind to win this season? Seem fucked once we go a goal down. Not comparing them in anyway, but it was the case under Pardew for ages, as well.
-
Probably lost his place to Daryl Murphy. Yeah, his days are numbered.
-
Fuck sake

Is Colback still considered a better partner for Shelvey?
-
I am struggling to think of a regular 'top flight' midfielder that is as bad as this fuck? Physically he is like a small child. He almost refuses to pass it forward, he gives away mindless, cheap fouls on a regular basis. He doesn't get many assists, he doesn't score, he can't tackle. He is the definition of a nothing player. I know Rafa's hands are tied a bit with his options. But I can't believe Rafa has persisted with him for so long. Should be the first out the door if we manage to get promoted.
-
Would have been a good option today for 20-30 mins or so against their brute back 4, who rarely left their own box. Seemed to play quite a few long balls, that Gayle had no chance with and Diame is similar to Sissoko in the air.

What is the deal with his last minute subs? Even when the likes of Colback and Gouffran are playing at a League Two level? Persisting with Perez seems a bit odd, too. He has been crap for ages now. I thought after a lot of early rotation, he has settled on a fairly similar team. But I fear we have been found out a bit. We look a bit rigid and it's worrying that we have relied on Shelvey so much. Still a long way to go. But one of the worst teams in the league have done the double over us and we couldn't score against them. The last few games have been a bit worrying, TBH. Let's hope it's just a bit of a wobble, we get some new players in Jan and Rafa gets us back on track.
