Stating the obvious. But he could be the difference tomorrow. He was quality against them in the final after he came on. He’s got better and better since then and has actually been starting games. I think with how Martinez (been superb this season) likes to get tight and how aggressive he is when defending. He’ll get opportunities to roll him and get away. As he has done a few times in limited appearances for us. Often think they look quite open early on in games and his pace will be key.

I’m totally unsure on this one. Due to how Man U have been this season. Often bang average when I see them. Yet they find a way to grind out a result. I’m not sure how you can be too confident against a side like that? Especially when have had plenty of games of late where we have been wasteful and it’s ended up costing us points. Hopefully, we turned the corner before the break. When Howe came in and before that, when Benitez was manager. The pre-match dread or feeling of apathy was replaced by nervous excitement. As suddenly, I cared again. I have been confident in loads of games this season and feel like that buzz and nervousness has gone to some degree. That’s not to say I haven’t enjoyed it. It’s been great fun!

Results have gone our way again. Win tomorrow and we’re sitting pretty.

Agree with this. His passing against Wolves was superb. But it usually seems forced and often inaccurate. Still think there might be some truth in the hamstring complaint. As he didn’t look to run at players against Wolves or Forest. Despite having numerous chances to do so. He was more than happy to against Man U and Liverpool, with varying degrees of success.

Watching the BT Sport score thing. The woman who seems to be dressed as the Joker/a Bruiser Bar is absolutely horrendous. Merson is a good orator in comparison. More erms and awkward pauses than a Charlotte Hope True Faith monologue.

Not watching. But sounds like Pep has done his big game thing of players out of position and a different formation.
-
I’d rather listen to Lee Dixon and Alan Smith on co-comms than that fucker.

On The Other 14. He regularly scores highly in aerial duels, dribbled past, progressive yards carried…. Well, just most defensive stats on there, he shows up well. Andersen has decent numbers on there. Albeit playing in a negative and defensive team. He’d be a quality addition.

Back to the Big Joe/Little Joe link up on the left for this? Went on a right run with that pairing and they do dovetail well. But I think I’d rather see a wide man/winger down that side.

Shame he has gone. As it had turned a bit sour, to say the least. However, it is good news that Tuchel is off the market and Poch wasn’t going to be returning this season. Stellini to the end of the season seems decent for us. Always had better results with him in charge. However, are the tactics going to drastically change? They seem really predictable and one dimensional this season. Negative and struggled to get the best out of some quality attacking players, bar Kane.
-
He must have just had off days against us, then. As I thought he did absolutely fuck all the three times we played them.

If there are serious concerns with FFP. It seems mad if we are genuinely going after loads of ‘prem proven’ players. Considering the premium we’ll have to pay and the fact they’ll already be on higher wages than a lot of players we’re looking at from abroad.
-
What a needless rule change. Just getting harder and harder for the keeper and loaded way more in favour of the attacking player. When it is already the case and they have favourable odds. It’s not the fucking NFL.

Osimhen would cost £100m plus. Ramos would be Nuñez money, possibly more. We’re not signing either, at this stage.

Been singing the Joselu song in my head the last 5 minutes. Happy for him.

I only really know of TF, Gallowgate Shots and Pod on the Tyne. TF is getting repetitive and a bit wank. GS is good, even if they do waffle on and get bogged down on some menial thing too often. The Athletic one has some quality content. But the host is a bellend and Caulkin may be a decent journo. But he comes across terribly on there. Any others worth checking out? Podcasts, not Youtube vids.

Norman was decent. Emil seems like a good lad. Mate’s with a pal of mine and met him years ago. Got too big for that pod now he’s a radio star Now It’s just Charlotte saying errrrrm, like, lush, we’re fucking class/mint. Then the other bloke who says like every third or fourth word. I genuinely used to like it and still listen now and then. But it has become pretty shit, TBH.

Uma Thurman?

Well...... Straight away a certain name came to mind. Looking at those dates, it pretty much confirms it.

Class vid of our end. Ridiculously loud after the pen went in. I know there is bias and blind faith when it comes to your team. But how he watched that first half and thought they were playing well and were going to score another they had two decent chances all game. The goal we gave them (great finish) and Johnson on the counter in the 87th minute or whatever it was.

Favourite win: It was a crap game. But Chelsea felt like we were really going to hang around the top 6 and made me fully believe we are a quality side now. Recency bias. But being at Forest away, seeing us play that well, getting a late winner after similar against Wolves. That felt like a turning point to get us back on track. Favourite goal: Scored some bangers this season. But Miggy away at Fulham was outrageous. Who's surprised you most: Can’t split two. Schar has been our best defender. Which I wasn’t expecting. Thought he might come out the team, even. Longstaff has been miles better than I thought. Still feel he needs upgrading in time. But not the massive weak link I thought he was. Most frustrating: Wilson. Jekyll and Hyde over the season and looks finished at this level of late. Best player: Hard one, this. As we have some real standout performers, who have missed games or played when not fully fit that has made them a bit more in and out (Bruno, Isak). Some very reliable, 7 or 8 out of 10s basically every game (Trippier, Schar, Botman, Joelinton, Pope). Schar at a push. Although I’d argue Bruno is our most important player. As we are a totally different side when he is missing. Moment of the season: Burn v Leicester or being there for the Southampton win in the semi.

Aye, just watched this. He seems so genuine and happy and not just "I'm here because it is a contractual obligation." He must never be allowed to leave.
-
If we end up spending say £70m-90m on Gordon and McTominay. I think that would end up being terrible business. When you factor in their output versus what they’d cost.
-
I only watched parts of the game yesterday and Man U looked crap in general. But McTominay looked utter shite.
-
Yeah. I agree that he almost looks like he is deliberately over forcing a different style of play at times. That doesn’t always work out, as he isn’t really that kind of player. I just thought the last two games. He genuinely had chances to get at his man. But just didn’t seem able or willing to. He was electric against Southampton when he came on, the odd time against Bournemouth he looked on it and then was the Maxi of old against Liverpool. Which all makes me think he is carrying an injury.
