Certainly seemed to have a go against Liverpool. But that was kind of nothing to lose and everything went through him.

I’m not having that something wasn’t amiss with ASM. I know he blows hot and cold and he hasn’t found a run of form or fitness this season. But there is no way he doesn’t at least once try and get past Serge Aurier if he was fully fit. The last two games now. He has seemed reluctant/incapable of fully opening up down the line. He wasn’t massively involved first half and didn’t get the space he did against Wolves. FWIW, I thought Isak was relatively quiet before the goal, as well and didn’t have the same impact as Wolves. Second half…….. ? ASM actually only really did anything once he went central into a bit of a free role. Was well involved with the goal, with the give and go and then pass down the line. Isak scored coming off the left and all. So those 5 minutes at the end of the half helped change the game. Shit that Almiron is now out. But it is nice to have some genuine wide options now. Murphy and Anderson wouldn’t have been near the lineup for most fans. Gordon still to come back and all.

Forest lot don’t seem to respect you.

I have a feeling El Vino did flow, today in Rod’s house.

Well…… I enjoyed the win, anyway. Still, that ASM lad, eh? Should be burned at the stake. TBH, I’m just shocked that @MrRaspberryJamhasn’t yet done a Brent reference to Rod Hull and Emu

That was far more forceful. Think the officials just felt sorry for them on that day. Man U have done a deal with the devil this season Fair play to them for getting through so many games in all comps. But they are just never impressive, I rarely see them dominate games. Yet they almost always find a way of getting a result.

Read my other post mate. Would have meant we switched with the Chelsea v Man U game on the Saturday at 5:30, because of Man U being in the Europa. Don’t think it will happen now. Man U will play in the FA Cup on Sunday and we’ll just stay in the 2pm slot on the same day.
-
Sky just won’t move our game forward to the 5:30 slot now to replace the Man U v Chelsea game I guess. As they can’t switch with our game, as theirs will be rearranged for another date. So guessing Sky will just leave us on the Sunday.
-
FFS. I wanted the 5:30 kick off against Spurs on the Saturday. But won’t move it now Man U are in the cup that weekend.
-
TBF, I think both have been consistent for a while. Carragher said quite some time back he thought we would get top 4. Neville almost laugher off that suggestion.

It’s clearly because I’m also biased. As he is from round here. But I was saying on Friday. The reason why I love Pope, is he seems relatively normal and chilled out, as far as goalkeepers go. We were discussing the way Ramsdale went on against Sporting Lisbon, the way Martinez is off his head, Pickford looking like he’s had too much Happy Shopper Cherryade etc. They’re all basket cases, man.

Who else has seen this filth? You know what I’m talking about. Who else has seen this filth?!

So gutted for the lad. Thought the keeper dropped a clanger in real time. But watching the highlights back today. It was a brilliant header. Taken away from him by guesswork and misinterpreting the laws of the game. Tierney even looks confused about what he is looking at and what he’s meant to be signalling for and saying when he walks back on the pitch. Complete and utter farce. Just to add. I noticed Willock was playing really wide and looking to overlap Anderson all the while. Really worked well, the same as the Big Joe/Little Joe combo.
-
I had a quick glance through the fixtures and landed on 18 points on first look. That seems like a reasonable and achievable target, I reckon.

I couldn’t stop smiling all day thinking back to last night. This has just meant it will continue for a bit longer. Cracking couple of results.
-
What a result that is.
-
Feels to me like he had a couple of below par performances, then came off injured. He then missed basically two full games. As you can’t really count the cup final. Think it’s because we didn’t realise what we had until it was gone He does somehow seem more purposeful and driven than before, mind.
-
Plenty of teams do it now. Been happening for a while and it’s a good tactic if keepers and opposing players are going to keep being nobheads.
-
ASM struggling with his hamstring still, apparently. Certainly looked like he wasn’t trying to go past players the last two games. Hopefully ASM is fine after the break and I’d keep him on the left. But As much as I’d like to see Joelinton come in for Longstaff. It’s an easy call for Howe to bring the Big Joe/Little Joe combo back on the left.

He was given MOTM in the ground I mean, none of theirs played particularly well. I thought Felipe was by far their best player. Must have made about 20 clearances and blocks.

They were really loud at the start. Dropped off and then understandably chirpy after their goal. We were silent for a good bit after they scored. But it probably felt like ‘here we go again’ with not taking our chances and gifting them a goal. Bar how loud they get at the start of each half for their Braveheart bagpipes song. I didn’t think they were much different to a lot of grounds. We dominated most of the game and we gradually got better and better. But near the end, they seemed buzzing with their undeserved 1-1. So it was nice to shut them up again. Definitely think the set up and old school ground helps the atmosphere, mind. Really tinny, echoey kind of noise from their fans. Seems like most of their vocal lot sit either side and above the away end. Which made for a decent few exchanges between supporters.
-
Thought after numerous openings and chances, plus hitting the bar twice. It had hit the post and was rolling wide the other side. On the replay. It was almost straight in. You’re right though. No better sound/feeling when it’s your team.

Pretty decent away end last night. Bruno in the middle not really sung until the end of the game. Only went flat for a bit after their goal. Fairly varied song book and plenty of needle with their fans. Who were also pretty loud and aggro. Didn’t realise how much animosity their was between the clubs. Felt a bit of an atmosphere walking up to the game and definitely afterwards. Speaking to my mate’s uncle before and he was mentioning the strikes and how Notts didn’t close, which caused a lot of it. Some old boys in our end were pretty vitriolic with their SCABS chants! We really need some more songs for our players, though. Especially this bunch. Seeing as they are so likeable and doing so well.

Big chance for him to shine now with Almiron out. Plus Gordon will probably miss Man U or might just be on the bench. ASM has some fitness issues by the sounds of it. So Murphy is going to get some good minutes. Anderson might be in a similar position. International break has probably come at a bad time for him personally. But let’s hope he picks up where he left off. Man U next and despite only playing 15 minutes. He was probably our best player against them at Wembley.
