  1. Aye, same. Got shit loads of work to do and I’m not doing any of it. I also slept like shit last night. Which I’m blaming on this and not my work load or the fact that I have insomnia at the best of times.
  2. Never paid attention to the Bruno or ASM social media output before games. Not until it was flagged on here. But it seems like Maxi is peddling his card game again or whatever it is. But not his usual pre-game tweet. Worrying
  3. He is clearly quick. Obvious to see on his debut when running through and just when he was closing players down. Tired late on. The next two games he never really had a chance to open up against deep defences. But he did go clear against Palace when he fluffed his chance. Thought on Saturday. He looked like he was either being told to treat the half like a friendly to ease back in, which I highly doubt. Or that he was still not fully opening up. Which may well have been the case, if what people say about quad injuries is correct and what I mentioned earlier in the thread. He was still lively and involved in most of our good play first half. Probably should have scored the header. But people going on like the second one was a sitter. When it clearly wasn’t.
  4. I know they interchange and that is probably part of it why they both work on the left. But I’d rather Willock is out there more often, TBH. Was effective when he got space wide left against Arsenal. Joelinton was crap playing there against Leeds, I thought. Then had 30 mins being unstoppable when moved back into midfield.
  5. I thought they were supposed to be moving up the start of this season?
  6. Someone said on Twitter Dewsbury Hall sounds like a place charvas get married. Did make me chuckle. But I think the fact he is missing is good for us. Looks lively whenever he plays.
  7. Yeah, Bruno was last minute. First we heard was that a deal was basically agreed and he signed a few days later. I only remember some Isak links the minute we got a load of money. Then nothing until their local media broke it. The original stories only felt like there were slightly more substance to them than the Neymar rumours On the whole, I think they have been a lot more guarded and learnt their lesson after the Emery news breaking. I suppose with the likes of Botman, it was always going to be hard to keep under wraps. As we got so close to getting him last January. Carlos was the same. I don’t think it is our side leaking that information, mind.
  8. Must be an instinctive thing. They have played how many games where they’re using VAR. They can’t be that stupid?!
  9. I know the game has moved on quite quickly since then and I remember a lot of it being down to Bale being unstoppable most weeks. But Spurs did well in the CL and had some great results when they first got in. I remember them being good and exciting to watch. But not great. We have shown we can mix it with top teams at times in the league and it is early on with the new owners and Howe. We’ll be strengthening in the summer, either way. But getting the CL would just fast track it and hopefully open up the market to a different level of player. The same can be said for the Europa, to a lesser degree.
  10. I’d keep him in the squad, 100%. I think he is the first one out of the regular 13 or so players that we use, who needs upgrading, though.
  11. Just a through ball? The ones where he plays it between the lines with usually Almiron running onto it behind?
  12. RS is either on the wind or on the Absinthe.
  13. Hopefully ASM hasn’t given Eddie a slap after all and he will be ready for the bench, along with Isak. Would be nice to have some options if needed. Same team as Arsenal, I guess.
  14. I’m hoping it is more for needs must, as we don’t have any centre mids when we rotate. Was the same at Tranmere, as Shelvey was injured then and all. I think his sub apps have often been out wide?
  15. Ah. Good to know all the experts were all equally as confused. As I’m sure that wasn’t even shown or highlighted on the replays.
  16. I’m totally lost. Has the different phase of play thing been scrapped completely? The first one where he could possibly be offside is irrelevant, surely? As their defender played the ball. The same as Toti did for Salah’s goal? Don’t get WTF the offside laws are now. The interpretation of it seems to change slightly every season.
  17. Does anyone genuinely understand offside now? That Salah one earlier wasn’t off. But that was?!
  18. Goldbridge would be furious
  19. Was tidy on the ball tonight. Set pieces were good. Decent left peg and it was frustrating to see him blaze that one over near the end.
  20. 2mm apart with some questionable lines being drawn. Offside. Play the ball as a defender. As the ball is going to get through to someone in on goal. Who just happens to be 3 yards off. Onside
  21. Back in my day. I’d work down the mine for 12 hours and then play 90 minutes afterwards. What’s all this resting players and rotation rubbish?
  22. He’ll bounce back from this on Tuesday. Rise of the Machine(s)
  23. Exactly. Which was why I quoted the original poster. As I found the logic a bit odd.
  24. I was more annoyed and frustrated after the Leeds game, somehow. The Cambridge game I went into hiding Thought this was a good cup tie, we had more than enough on the pitch at the start and the end to win it. Created plenty and just wasted them due to a few rusty players or ones that we already knew aren’t quite good enough. Would have to do a lot more than that to stop me feeling good about this season and positive for the future.
