Won’t he be on big money at Chelsea and probably be wanting one last big payday. Or at least a contract to see him through to closer to retirement? Can’t see it and don’t want him, anyway. Appreciate he is clearly decent. I just don’t like his playing style or how much of a cunt he seems on the pitch. I’m hoping we aim for someone more from the Bruno or Isak age range from abroad.

Twice the usual speed and with the wrong lyrics. Geordies of NUFC is my personal favourite. But doesn’t get sung that often. Seems like Bruno in the middle is the new WE’LL SUPPORT YOU EVER MORE, this season. We seem to get bogged down on the same few chants at games or for months on end. Certainly some away ends have been enjoyable this year. Fulham had some of the older chants for players getting some air time.

Liverpool have a singer/songwriter bloke that starts most of theirs, I think? Then sings them at fan events, matchdays, pubs etc. So they catch on a lot easier. Man U just have a massive following and their away support is decent. So would perhaps explain it a bit. But I do agree. We sing every song like it’s set at the wrong RPM on the turntable and usually just steal other club’s chants and change the lyrics. Which TBF, I’d imagine happens with most teams.

I know it won’t define our season. But if we can win against Leeds and then either beat or get a well fought draw at Arsenal. Then why wouldn’t we be in the conversation for top 4 and possibly even a title push? I’m not really thinking like that yet. But I think it will take a long while to shake off my pessimistic views when it comes to this club. Too much pain and too many false dawns over the years.

I agree we need 1-2 quality additions in Jan to sustain what we are doing and push for CL or Europa. But you think we might drop below 10th if we don’t buy anyone? Can’t see that, to be honest. I’d also still rather we focused on quality and a real game changer that would come in and start in midfield and/or a wide forward type, as well. The squad depth will naturally come if we can hit on players like that most windows.

Lee Dixon on co-comms on the channel I’ve got on. He is horrendous. Makes unfunny comments all the while and has the comedic timing of Rainier Wolfcastle. It feels like he is slowly morphing into Lawrenson on the mic.

It always used to be new year or after the Boxing Day round of games, from memory? Not sure if it is still the same this season. As assuming we have played less games than usual.

Agree with this. Most fans I speak to seem to be more positive about our chances than I am and are all massively praising Howe and the likes of Almiron, Joelinton, Bruno, Botman etc. You do get the odd twat that links it all to money. But you can shut that argument down in less than a minute and they don’t really have any comeback.

It is pretty rare for a player to be so likeable and to have such a great attitude. And also be so talented on the ball, but also graft so hard off it. He is just a special player and a proper character. The full package.

The pitch looks quite bad. But some of the passing has been horrendous. Resembles a League One match more than a Premier League fixture. If this is anything to go by. Then there are going to be a lot of mistakes across the games today.

I think the owners could and should roll the dice in January. No guarantee we’ll have such a good shot at it next season. But if we are basically halfway through the season and still looking good for top 4 and even a title challenge. Then why wouldn’t you go for it and perhaps spend a bit more than planned or what you’d need to spend for the same player in the summer.

Heard some rumours from his time at MK Dons involving addiction. Which may be complete bollocks, of course and is all just rumours. Would perhaps explain the complete drop off the last few years, mind. Some Spurs supporting mates just point to him basically playing as a second striker, in some kind of free role. Then never working at other aspects of his game. So totally going missing when put into a structured system. There does always seem to be a perceived lack of effort and a bad attitude. Mourinho’s comments in the Spurs doc kind of put weight behind that line of thinking. Personally always thought he came across as an absolute cunt and a snide shithouse on the pitch. So I loved his fall from grace, at first. But it is a waste of talent and it’s sad if he does have some personal demons.
