  1. Not read it, but I did see some stats on his heading and it was impressive. I know Burnley love hoofing it up there and getting crosses in, so not sure how it translates as percentages. But I think he was first for aerial duels won, 3rd for headed shots and 2nd for headers on target. I know he's a lump, but I don't think it's like he's just an out and out target man in the mould of someone like Carroll. There is a bit more nuance to his game than that when I have seen him and I don't think he is slow for his size, by any means. I still think this will be end up being a decent enough, whilst not the most inspiring signing and I'm not as down on it as some on here.
  2. I don't really bet on football. But they seem like horrendous odds, to me
  3. Longstaff was good at the start vs Man U and he played the odd nice pass for a change. Ones that weren't straight to the opposition But I don't think he's been any good since Rafa was here. Always looks like he's forgot to unhitch the caravan and he's blowing out of his arse after half a game. Really leggy and immobile. At least with Willock, you feel he might get involved in an attacking sense. Those late runs into the box and driving with the ball from deep last season are what we have been lacking. Hopefully he can get back to somewhere near that, as he has been so disappointing. Even if he doesn't go on a daft scoring streak again. Just having a threat outside of ASM and Wilson when he is fit, would be nice.
  4. I think I'd play Willock ahead of Longstaff, if we are going with a midfield 3. But at present, that is like saying would you rather eat a dog shit sandwich or a cat shit roll.
  5. I watched most the first half and then towards the end of the second and ET. Certainly looked a lot better than under Koeman. You seemed to carry a threat going forward again and looked the better team for long spells. Just done on the counter a fair bit and the defence looked pretty exposed. Can't believe how badly Busquets has fallen off.
  6. Not seen much of Barca recently. But whenever I watch them. I can’t believe how badly Busquets has fallen off. Was one of the best DM’s in the world for years. Looks a shadow of his former self.
  7. Or before Covid? That can also cause heart problems, no? Is there any research anywhere regarding heart attacks and the vaccine. Or is it just people on social media posting guff that then gets shot down via snopes or any news article? Genuinely interested.
  8. Almiron is like a fairly simple, but happy Jack Russell up the park. Zooming around after a tennis ball with no coordination.
  9. Still makes me chuckle whenever it pops up.
  10. Chelsea one up. So I’ll be changing games. If this one wasn’t over already, it certainly is now. Plus Andy Hinchcliffe, or whoever it is co-commentating is absolutely awful to listen to.

She seemed witty and quite sharp, though?
  12. Only briefly watched some clips of him. But it seemed like he went to ground less than Botman and is great at standing his man up.
  13. Big lad, lefty, athletic, quick. What’s not to like? Get him in, plz.
  14. Agree with Rich. Although I have a feeling Ritchie is going to start and we will be horribly exposed down that side.
  15. Like a budget version of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund/the rest of Bundesliga.
  16. Burnley have been even worse than usual. Plus his shithouse partner in crime, Barnes. Has been missing.
  17. I usually hate the “well if his name was Christoph Bois, then everyone would be happy” type arguments. But this does feel like people would be buzzing with an unproven player from another league. As opposed to this boring and kind of uninspiring, but more safe signing. Obviously I would have rather we signed someone like Vlahovic, Schick or Nunez. But I can imagine plenty of top players don’t want to come here right now or will have better offers. We are awful and looking like we’re going to get relegated. Never mind pushing for a Champions League place.
  18. I think if Fraser, Murphy, Trippier and erm, Ritchie (shudder) are playing wing and fullback a bit more. We will get crosses in. Fraser often has a good delivery, I think. Although he has punted it straight off for a goal kick a few times of late
  19. I don’t mind it. Still hope we get another striker/wide forward type in. Or perhaps an attacking mid to play off him or Wilson. One that actually scores and creates. As opposed to the bags of gravel we currently have.
  20. First name bunch of numbers accounts always post a load of wank.
  21. Oh yeah, of course. It just feels like we need 4 points minimum from the next two games and with the current state of the squad and how bad we have been for most of the season. I just don’t see it.
  22. It seems increasingly unlikely that we’re getting anyone in for the weekend. I appreciate it is difficult to get players in in January and we’re in a shit position. But it kind of feels like if we lose Saturday, then that’s another few nails in the coffin. We could really do with some new players, goal scorers and just competent footballers for this ‘easier’ run of games.
  23. Bad form from Klopp. I really like him, but he has been moaning and getting petty about everything of late. Shite question, mind. I sometimes feel when journalists are challenged on their so called questions like this. They start to realise they have just asked something totally pointless and are just wasting everyone's time. No need for Klopp to be a dickhead to him about it, mind.
  24. Won't they have 5 strikers now? Greedy. Although weren't we linked with Mateta who is on loan there and not very good, by all accounts.
  25. Bit of a drive for Cabral to get from FC Basel Fawlty to Sion. Could have at least landed a bit closer for him.
