Spot on. Got a feeling Santon might play there. Think I read he's played there in the past, looks good going forward and will track back well. Not really sure what the alternatives are, don't really see the three names you mentioned as good enough to start right wing, would like to see HBA or Santon get a shot.

Little bit of info on it from Physio Room: Considering he's made of glass and this sounds like the same injury as last time, I would have a total guess that he's going to be out for 2 month at least.

Yeah, Starforth has mentioned it as well. Don't have twitter but usually check on Thursday afternoon for comments from AP's press conference.

Gilmore's Groin Injury Gilmore's Groin is a fairly common injury in kicking sports such as soccer, gaelic football and rugby. This condition is named after Jerry Gilmore, the London surgeon who first recognised this syndrome in 1980. The condition is also known as a Sports Hernia, but Gilmore's Groin is a more apt title because, strictly speaking, there is no true herniation. Conservative treatment involves stabilising and strengthening the muscles of the pelvic region, which may allow a continuation of sports activities for a short period; although this is a stop gap at best. Usually, there comes a time when the person can no longer continue because sports performance becomes so impaired. Ultimately a surgical approach and hernia repair is usually required. Although they're not always right on there.

It's slightly concerning, but there were quotes last week from AP (when referring to Cabaye's and Marveaux's injuries) saying something like it's not as if they're massive tears.

Good post. I would also argue that Villa would offer 2500-3000 on a slae and return basis. Their crowds have been getting smaller and smaller and there seems to be 1000s of empty seats every week now.

Isn't it to do with the fact that with some clubs you have to pay for all unsold tickets so rather than take the higher allocation and risk a few unsold tickets, NUFC always choose the lower allocation. I am sure they get an option to take a higher allocation but choose not to. I expect it is clubs who know they can sell tickets to their own supporters that will enforce this policy whereas clubs like Wigan and Blackburn are just happy to sell as as many as they can which is why we take so many supporters to those grounds. Spot on. As posted in the Norwich thread, this was their response to me last season: Just seems mad that we're selling out 4-6 weeks before the actual game, yet we still pesevere (sp) with taking the sale and return only allocation. The box office are an utter shambles though, still not even got my members pack

I thought Jonas said in his interview Cheik was the star and the best at it?
-
Yes. He had groin injury - rupture of the right side - in november 2010, had many complications during his recovery and played only 10 matches with Rennes in 2010/2011. If there's rupture, that's one of the most sensitive injury for a footballer. I don't think it'll be a rupture, like. He wouldn't have walked off the pitch if it was. My worry was a nasty tear in the effected area. There is quotes somewhere from Pards commenting on the groin injuries, saying it's not as if they're massive tears.

What's his source then? Security guard at SJP, French newspaper, total guess?
-
Think his earnings were revealed in court when he was facing a driving ban. A year or two back I think, but it was reported as £4k a week!

That's a wig surely? A bad attempt at trying to win the scousers over by getting a Beatles barnet. Looks like a lesbian.

Assuming Best, Marveaux and Obertan all miss out, but Cabaye and Tiote are fit, I can still see Guthrie getting a game. Just hope it isn't wide right, would rather HBA, Santon or even Sammy started out wide ahead of him. Cabaye wasn't that effective when playing further forward in a 5 man midfield against the mackems, but it was only his second league game. Santon/HBA Guthrie Tiote Jonas Cabaye Ba

Well, last time Blanc was hopeful about his injury he played, was against Bosnia wasn't it? Fingers crossed he's right again and he'll be ok to play next week and against City, sounds fairly promising anyway.

People who have defended him due to his long term injury: Ergo, you're talking bollocks. +1 Oh and judging by the number of posts regarding his performance on Saturday, the percentage of people mentioning his injury seems fairly high to me ?
