Kind of blows all of the bullshit about meeting her in a nightclub, straight out of the water.

had this discussion loads but that football at the beginning of the season was s*** to me. We never looked like scoring. Since we've been more direct. Against Wham we looked very good tho. Last two home games have had better football than I ever saw under Pardew. I think that is only likely to get better as well if we stay up. I'm not really arguing about the early stuff now, he was trying to do something but it was totally ineffective yeah. Very pleased with the home performances recently. WHU especially. But down that spine we have better ball-playing and hold up individuals than we've had in a long time. Chancel - Colo - Shelvey - Wij - Perez - Mitro. Not sure how much credit SMC gets. It's almost as if you have forgotten some of the great players Pardew had at his disposal. Some that he totally misused and some he ended up freezing out the team.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/daryl-janmaat-says-56-shots-10853918 Seeing as TCD loves stats so much, I found this interesting. Although I don't really use how many shots we've had, as evidence that we haven't played any good football this year Please carry on using shots at goal and our early season form, where McClaren was still figuring things out, as a valid argument Our away form is absolutely pathetic and McClaren needs to grow a pair. We are like a totally different team when we're not at SJP. Nobody can really argue against that and I don't think anyone is. Despite not liking McClaren, or wanting him. I still think there are far more obvious signs of a long term plan and strategy. As opposed to Pardew, where I couldn't even tell you what our tactics or plan was most of the time.

That 3 - 0 defeat which could have been at least 8 or 9 oh yes it was. That was one of the worst performance from a Newcastle team I have seen in over 40 year of watching This is utter f***ing bullshit, we have never reached those depths this season in terms of attacking endeavour. I feel like I wasted 4 years of my life watching that negative speculative s**** every week, not one performance this season comes close to Pardew's worst in that respect. Even Palace. In your opinion fine but then again I'm in the opinion you're talking bullshit also. But each to their own we all have opinions let's just wait until the end of the season. I think both are utter cretins as managers but in my opinion McClaren is worse and I'll argue all day and night about that but as I said you are entitled to your opinion as are others and let's just see what the rest of this season brings. I thought Everton was absolutely rancid. Up there with some of the dross served up by his predecessors, Carver and Pardew. But McClaren worse than Pardew? Nah. I'm not having that. A new poll is needed!!

I just did the same. Urgh. Where does that story keep coming from, anyway? Are people just assuming this is what happened? He's admitted to knowing she was underage, as well. But people seem to continue to ignore that fact and are saying he's been stitched up by a 15 year old, in a nightclub.

I would assume that's not the case. He's not going to admit it if they don't have any evidence Exactly. How the fuck do you come to the conclusion that he would have gotten away with it? Must have a decent case and some solid evidence. It's got to crown court and he's pleaded guilty FFS.
-
Yes it does. If on his first appearance in the Crown Court he had pleaded guilty he would have received a third off. Since this date the amount of credit he gets for pleading guilty reduces over time. A plea on the day of trial ordinarily attracts credit of 10%. I suspect his defence will try to say to the Jury that he is a man who has accepted the things he has done wrong. On face value it's a pretty weak strategy as the Jury will hear that he has pleaded guilty to two sexual offences against the same girl. Cheers. I have no idea how it all works. I think he denied all charges when he was in Magistrates Court. No idea how it would work at the Police station. I've been questioned for petty offences. But never "did you have sex with this 15 year old girl." Yep. His missus looks pretty hot and all, which somehow makes it worse. Plus, if he wanted to play away. You would have thought he'd be able to get himself some girls of legal age.
-
I think this, as well. You would have thought, they would have tried to get as much information on it as possible? Surely they must have had some idea of the situation and how Johnson was going to plead? I still think all along, he should have been suspended whilst the investigation was on-going. Not just sacking him straight up and deciding he's guilty, or anything like that. But I'm sure there are plenty of other jobs where he would have been suspended. That wouldn't necessarily mean he's done anything wrong. I think sunderland have handled the whole thing terribly. Seems like they kept him in the squad, just so they could stay up. Cunt always scores against us and all.
-
Hasn't he had one or two previous chances to enter a plea? Yet he denied all charges? Does this count against him?
-
Shit. They must have some pretty solid evidence for him to be admitting it. Denies the other two counts, though. No idea what sort of punishment this will carry. I wonder if he'll be doing time?

It's all relative - people almost always want to make more money. It's human nature, it just seems wrong when you want a raise to buy a 3rd house and a yacht instead of wanting a raise to be able to send your kid to college. Damn. Just seen this. You've nailed my TL;DR post, in one line http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/01/10/article-2260386-16DCA922000005DC-657_634x376.jpg

Mercenary? LOL. If someone's willing to double your wages for the same job - why wouldn't you do it? Especially once you've hit the pinnacle in your career. International football will be the biggest hurdle imo. Difficult for the likes of Payet to get selected if he's in China. Never got this argument when comparing footballers, to the general working public. £40k to £80k a year, is huge. A really big amount in the grand scheme of things. £60k a week to £120k a week how rich do you need to be FFS? You're already going to end up a multi-millionaire. You can already buy most of the things that you want and need. You're already going to be considerably, considerably richer than....... most of the planet's population. So why jack in being a fans favourite, playing at the top level, to go and play in some joke of a league? I'd like to think if I was in their position. I'd be motivated by being successful and well paid. But also playing on a regular basis, for a club where you are loved. I don't get why such talented players, want to fuck off to the middle east or go and sit on the bench somewhere? Just so they can go from very rich, to super rich. I don't think, even in everyday life, that money is everything. A guy I used to work with, has fucked off to a big multi-national. He got a 50% pay rise, a better company car and a shit load of perks. Yet he absolutely hates it, doesn't get on that well with the people he works with and says it is far more pressured. Money isn't everything.

Was watching MLS highlights the other night and when Robbie Keane scores the LA Galaxy PA guy shouts "RRRRRRRRRROBBIE" followed by the crowd shouting "KEANE". It's absolutely amazing. Howay, it's f***ing pathetic It's class man, I couldn't stop rewinding it. Completely batshit mental, and there's no place for it anywhere else on planet Earth, but it's the MLS, the have a guy who saws trees on the touchline. It's awful. Along with goal music, it just isn't on. Only seems to sound right when clubs in Europe do it. Like the Napoli guy, just shouting "GONZALO" over and over again Arsenal did it for a season or two, it was absolutely brutal.

I didn't know they had Chucklevision over there

Under Armour is spot on. We'll be stuck with the standard Puma template and I'm assuming WONGA, will still be the sponsor. Urgh.
-
I like Aarons. But he seemed to have a few good games, then got injured over and over again. Since he's been back, I'm yet to see anything that great from him. But he has been playing left back/left wing back. So it would be unfair to judge. He played pretty well on Saturday, once he had settled down. Still think he should play higher up the pitch, mind.
-
If they end up marking each other on set pieces, yeah. The battle against Terry will be the one to watch. He more than held his own, against some of the brutes in WBA's back 4. Olsen is a huge bloke. But Terry has played at the highest level for a long while. So I am interested to see how he competes with him and whether we get any service to Mitro. There will be a lot of pumped long balls and clearances. So he's going to have to put another shift in. Just thinking back to the game. One thing that does annoy me with Mitro, is the play acting. He does it fairly regularly and at one point, he actually cried out so loud, the whole ground could hear him. There is usually fuck all wrong with him, as well. I get that it's part of the game now. But when your front man looks like a Serbian gangster and he starts crying every time he is touched. It just doesn't seem right, to me.
-
Townsend has 5 prem goals, doesn't he? Does sound a bit pathetic when you read it back but he has been a cup player and been on loan in the Championship a fair bit. No idea what his stats are like elsewhere. Aarons has 1 prem goal and 1 in the league cup. Good maths from you, Mojo
-
He definitely started to tire. Still, I'll take him playing like that at home most weeks, even if he mishits the odd long pass and tries the killer ball too often. Quite a few sat round me kicking off after his second or third long ball to Townsend, was slightly over hit and Townsend couldn't quite reach it. Not that I'm accusing you of this, but I'll never understand that mentality. I enjoy watching high risk players like him. We've tried playing with safety first, cowardly players. It's got us to the brink of relegation. Seeing someone like Shelvey in the team, is like a breath of fresh air (Partridge). His constant gesturing and pointing does get annoying, mind. It's good that we've got someone taking responsibility and control. But half the time, it seems totally needless and looks like it's for show
-
He is certainly pretty slow and seems to get gassed quite early. Not sure if the fitness thing is to do with not playing regularly at Swansea, or whether it's a case of him just generally not being very good at playing a full 90. Hopefully the former, as we don't really have anyone else to play his role.
-
The sleeves look like tea towels. Horrible.
-
A lot faster than WBA's team of cloggers. But he didn't look that fast going down the line and certainly not as quick as I remembered. Not sure if he was just low on confidence or what. But I thought there were a few instances where he had loads of space out wide to run into and he seemed a bit laboured, considering. Don't agree. When he got going he looked rapid as f***, faster than Townsend by a mile for example. Didn't think he looked faster than Townsend at all. Thought he looked miles off the pace at Everton and all. I don't think he looked slow per se. Just not as fast as I remember. I thought he played well.

Two shit away games, granted. But the whole team play negatively away from home and we've been shit on our travels all season. 90% pass completion in home games, including a lot of the Hollywood stuff and what should be low percentage, forward thinking passes. I hardly see that as him giving the ball away to much? I would rather he tried the higher risk, low reward stuff. As nobody else in our team can even manage that. McClaren really needs to grow a pair on the road and stop reverting to type. Sitting everyone behind the ball, not committing men forward and hoping for 1-2 chances a game, all whilst not conceding, isn't much of a game plan. It's exactly what we did under Pardew, but at least that fucker had some success playing that way, in comparison. It sounds ridiculous, but it's almost like it's impossible to factor in away performances when analysing our players. They all look equally shit away from home. Whereas some, look very good when we play at SJP. So surely that would point to tactics and most of the blame being put on the manager? Why is he not putting our players in a position to succeed? Surely it can't be that they're all gutless shithouses and can't handle a hostile crowd? Away record: P12 W2 D1 L9 F6 A26 6 fucking goals, man! We're going to have to be close to flawless at home if we don't sort that form out. Good second half at Spurs and maybe the odd unlucky loss, where we played well without creating much, aside . Apart from that, it has been brutal.
