We haven't done too badly in the first half. We haven't created too much but we've looked relatively solid. I do agree that we need an extra body either in midfield or linking attack and midfield. Hopefully he'll see that and change things at half time and allow Cabaye to get into the game a bit more.

We do need to mix it up a little, Obertan has seen plenty of the ball but doesn't do much with it. Can't see Pardew changing anything until at least the 60th minute though.

Never like to see a player get injured but this could be good for us.

They're pressing hard and closing us down well at the moment. They'll start tiring soon though and we should see a little more space open up for us.

Pretty open game so far, could be goals here.

Two strikers with a combined league record of 1 goal every 4.6 games On their current league stats Bendtner should get 7 goals and Wickham 5 this season. Obviously their previous records don't mean too much, especially for Wickham who should become more prolific as he develops, but neither seems to be a great goalscorer right now.

Maybe we could all chip in and pay some journalists to big up Smith and Perch. £30m for the pair of them would be nice.

I really wish Liverpool and Dalglish especially would just fuck off. Vile, horrible club with rancid supporters and an overbearing delusional sense of their own importance which is fuelled by half the moron pundits on TV having their tongues lodged firmly in some very unsavoury places.

No Santon or Ben Arfa is a little disappointing but I suppose you could say those players starting have earned their places so far this season.

There are no crumbs with Pardew, he's like a horny vacuum cleaner, everything breathing and female within his field of vision will be his.

I wouldn't want him back now. Was very disappointed when he left but I think our team has evolved past him and he would struggle to fit into our playing style now. We have a pretty well behaved group of professionals now also and his off the field antics would be needlessly disruptive in my opinion.

Taking the pragmatic view, whether or not we would do the same to one of our decent players I think the club should sack him if at all possible. He may be an 'asset' worth £500k but he's on a 5 year contract which will cost us more than that in the long term. This is a good opportunity for us to cut our losses and get him off the books as I honestly can't see him progressing in his career at all with his current attitude.

Problem with the way they play Sessegnon is that they put him in behind the striker then play two cloggers behind him in CM. He's then expected to create everything for the team himself and gets little attacking support from midfield.
