Success for me would be for us to play entertaining football that makes me look forward to watching a game on a weekend.
Oh and to finish in a European spot every other season would be nice. To win a trophy would be cool as well, but I can't see us doing that any time soon. Not even long term.
It's not just football teams in leagues either btw. It's anyone who's bottom of the pile. It's commonly used (and actually used to be contested over) in the Tour de France.
Cool story.
I wouldn't sell Krul for £25m, like. He can be our goalkeeper for the next 10-15 years, and having someone, who in all likelihood is going to be a world class keeper, for that long is worth more than £25m.
Pass completion stats are a far better indication of better football than the amount of long passes per game. Hell, Barcelona play as many long balls per game as West Ham do, so it's not a great comparison.
It's true, like. We haven't been overly direct on a consistent basis since Stoke away.
Negative and turgid, yes. But overly direct all the time? I think not.
I'd actually have left back cover as our third priority behind a centre half and a forward, so I can't see any issues with it supposedly 'not being what we need'. Especially if it's only going to set us back a couple of million.
Someone who's not a crock and has been playing well recently. As I'd always want. Was never really all that enthused about Remy. And I'm not just saying that because of recent developments before anyone thinks.
“I haven’t got another striker who I think is at the level that there should be at this football club.”
So he doesn't actually rate Shola then. Thank god.
