I would argue Sir Bobby's England squad was the best in recent memory, picking the best available players in their position regardless of their team's division. The fact that one of the 'big teams' hadn't managed to sign the likes of Gary Pallister or Steve Bull didn't (and shouldn't) rule them out of contention for the national team.

Not proven in PL + no-one else in for him + not full international = sh*te (#mackemlogic) Only joking, well done to little old sunderland, I will now spend the rest of the day bricking it and fuming.
-
Bent thought it. Gyan thought it. Adam Johnson thought it. I imagine even O'Neill thought it. But Rodwell said it. sunderland - the safety net when things don't quite work out.

That reads like a s*** ghost story. "But that girl has been dead for 20 years!!" They love that shit on the shortbus, old lags drawing the young miscreants near for a tale of wrong-do-ery round the virtual campfire. "Arrrrrr boy, we don't talk 'bout the battle of North Shields Ferry round these parts... those scurvy mags did summon a Kraken, a Kraken I tells thee. Brought forth from the filthy depths to drag our brave boys down. Also, some of them had pool cues..."

Anyone watching the commonwealth games this morning might have heard Steve Cram 'bigging up' sunderland's own Aly Dixon who was leading the womens marathon at around the 45 minute mark (cue epic bantz between him and Brendan Forster). Turns out she didnt actually finish the race. She mustn't have received the memo on mackem etiquette in competitive marathons - If in doubt, cheat.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-15252687

Seriously? You're on 200 notes a week? I can't fault the bloke for getting out there and earning, especially after being on the gravy train of professional football, but that's a hell of a drop.

I only heard that phrase for the first time on Kermode and Mayo's Film Review last year. I now use it at every possible opportunity..... Bon Courage Mathieu mon ami. Aussi, Wenger est une maison de merde. Une maison de merde supreme.

I dont bear Debuchy any ill will, and to be honest Im glad I saw him in our shirt - on his day he was world class. Janmaat coming in has sugared the pill slightly, but who knows how he might turn out. At least shows a modicum of planning behind the scenes rather than the usual frenzied land-grab for profit. Those boots are an absolute disgrace mind.

I'm guessing that was taken abroad so, obvious question....how the hell are we keeping that company? Has the rest of the world not cottoned on yet? Or do you pan down and see Stoke tops? -

Looks like its been peeled off a cupcake at f*cking Canatrice. Would still eat. -
Oh yeah...come to think of it, Bale occasionally does that too. I retract my reservations (over the rest of the 4 minute video where they repeat the same 3 goals)

Looked at youtube for 30 seconds and he did that heart motif with his hands.

To be honest, out of Cabella, Siem DJ, Janmaat * and this guy - well, this guy is the only one I dont think ive ever seen play (or if i have, he hasnt registered). And if i'm even more honest, don't really recognise the name. So I have no expectations at all....which is good, right??? *Oh, also Colback. He happened.

DID WE LEARN NOTHING FROM LEYTON ORIENT?
-
Sounds awfully familiar. Nah, abandoned our old relegationmobile for a new French model, which got sold on for a small profit (slight problem with the electrics, only one shithouse English driver). Have since part-exed for a new Dutch model. What could possibly go wrong? (slight problem with the electrics, only one shithouse English driver)

Their approach for the last few seasons is basically how you'd treat a wrecked car on it's last legs. Put in just enough petrol to get through the day, do just enough maintenance to scrape through the MOT, 'loan' the occasional push-start or tow from a mate, cross your fingers and hope for the best. But.....Don't put in any serious money on repairs though, cos you just know as soon as you do, the gear box will drop out on the A19. (strained metaphor - the inevitable relegation)

Nah...I'm old enough to remember Terry Hurlock. In those days, cult hero=leg breaking sociopath
-
Like those dipsh*ts even know who he is. Until the transfer falls through when he'll immmediately become the best player in Europe #mack-tracking I still think we'll manage to screw this up somehow.....
-
The whole 'selling Colback to West Ham' story seems to be a lot more believable right now. Ashley's whole approach to negotiating with other clubs appears to be based on the strategy of 'I know you are, but what am I?'. And then calling out their mommas.

Could be a hundred million, could be a fiver, it doesn't matter. Not a penny will end up back on the pitch as a replacement.

Specifically £7.9M according to the Metro. Which IMO is worse than ten Hitlers.
-
8 million incoming - initial outlay - 16 months wages - 'other tax' = zero Books balanced. Guess who w.... meh.
