How’s Bentaleb doing?

I really think we’ve got to have at least one of Schar or Lejeune at cb, especially in this 5 at the back we’re playing. You need some of those centre backs to be able to pick out a pass. Huge game for Bentaleb after only having the cup game in months too. Gut feeling is we’ll make a tit of ourselves today and lose. Hope I’m massively wrong and Joelinton bangs some in.

Just read that. It’s really grinding on me actually. Good player, we’ve tracked him, he wants to sign for us over the other clubs and we won’t pay the money. Incredible levels of Ashley. It’s blatantly going to be a Ba and Stoke type scenario where he mugs us off every game as well.

Don’t share the same love for Ki like a lot of people do on here. He had handful of decent games, a really good standout match v Watford iirc but for the most part he looked way too passive to me. On the ball he kept possession well but without it watching him jog around used to infuriate the balls off me. He’s got a great cv but he just isn’t up to Premier League standard from what I’ve seen and I wouldn’t like to have seen him get game time over either of the Longstaffs, Shelvey or Hayden. It sort of makes sense that if we couldn’t sell him we’d release him as we needed a place in the squad.

Seems like a steal at £1m.

Sounds like he’s also just torpedoed the takeover talk. FML!

I think Bruce is a crap manager but I don’t get the feeling he’s lie about something like that. Maybe I’m wrong. I can’t think of anyone we’ve been linked with that would be around that fee.

That’s really irritating. Good player, wants to sign for us and we won’t cough up the same as teams around us.

Saw that yesterday and it makes all sorts of sense. Given their pace and his dominance up front I can’t see it not working.

I haven’t been paying too close attention to the last couple of England squads despite watching the games but is Rose still involved in the set-up? Or has Southgate replaced him? I guess there isn’t a ton of top quality English fullbacks but coming up here doesn’t seem a good move if you’re interested in international football. Southgate has picked everyone with an English passport over Lascelles who’s been head and shoulders over most of them.

Pleased with this. I didn’t think we’d replace Willems with anyone near as accomplished as Rose. Hopefully he regains some form.

Saw Armstrong’s name crop up a few times lately. Pleased to see he’s doing well in the Championship, he always looked like he had something.

Did it say how much he was sold for?

Really don’t dislike Luke Edwards like some do but this article seems like a bit of a cunt thing to do: I know there’s some on here turning on Longstaff but it’s not all that surprising to me that a player who thrived in a compact Rafa system with organised pressing has now lost confidence in a team where the gap between the forward and the midfield is massive, we can’t keep the ball and we press in odd haphazard patters. But let’s blame the young lad eh ?

Hopefully we can get an early couple of goals and get Miggy off at half time.

Despite everything going on with the owner and questions over the manger it’s really nice to see a player that actually visibly wants to play for us and thrive doing so. It’d be a real disappointment if we didn’t sign him permanently.
