Fairly pessimistic but I thought after the Saturday fixtures I’d be up for this by the Sunday but I’m still carrying the feeling I wish the season was over so we can see what’s happening in the summer. I’m sure that’ll change if we win today mind because I’m that level of fickle. I’ll be disappointed in Howe if we see Gordon rolled out as a striker again. Surely it’s got to be Woltemade up front and finding tactical solutions to make it work long term.

Just stumbled across this on YouTube and this almost perfectly sums up what we’ve seen from Howe this season.

I think that’s really good PR by Hopkins. If he blindly goes in favour of Howe it upsets a section unhappy with this season. If the message is different it detracts from the remainder of the season. I don’t think changing managers is in our plans but I don’t think it hurts to be a bit ambiguous too.

I’m absolutely shocked to see getting the ball into his feet and getting players near him has produced results. I honestly thought pumping balls up to him on his own or playing centre midfield would have been the answer.

Similar to how it started for Gordon. People make weird narratives up from very little and run with it as facts forever. I do think we’ll sell one of our bigger names this summer and I guess him or Livramento are most likely. I don’t think if we lost one of them it’d have the same overall structural impact to the team like it did with Isak.

As a bare minimum he deserves a summer window. I’m really worried how little he’s learned from this group and how he’s approached this type of team. It was exactly the same v Everton and he learned nothing.

Genuinely think he’d be more effective if there was a genuine striker up front.

I’m zero percent envious of them. They’re having there best season ever, they’ve taken 6 points off us and they’re a massive 1 point ahead us in the league. We’ve got 3 midfielders out that would have started today so having Xhaka in for that rare scenario wouldn’t have made much difference. I could be reading the room wrong here but people are so outraged because they’re shite and we’ve given them another 3 points. Bar their keeper none of them gets into our side. We’ve got bigger problems

Arguably could have done better for the goals today. I don’t remember many standout goalkeeping performances from either of our keepers this season though. It’s an area that’s massively holding us back. Pickford seems to do it for Everton every week. Rewwwfs for those shithouses as well. We need a proper keeper.

I think it’s for the best. Anything that get said will just piss us off further. Any acceptance or apology won’t make the loss feel any better. Actions not words now for the rest of the season. Full inquest at the end of the season with all sides looking at themselves then hopefully some proactive movement from the board structure early.

He’ll be sacked next season. There’s nothing at all about them. Wouldn’t surprise me if they went down.

Didn’t like the lineup today and his in game management was poor. Another home loss and poor performance against a typical nothing, shithouse side. He hasn’t adapted or learned. Maybe through lack of time on the training pitch there’s no scope to make changes. I’m really curious to see what he does from now until the end of the season as there’s nothing to play for. Hes got scope to mess with the system. He was once again let down by some of our players again today.
