Good points and I thinks that’s something else people are missing when trying to write him off. His game is visibly changing. If Howe can get it to click with him he’ll be unstoppable. I think with a lot of winnable games against teams that are likely to sit back he’ll likely see more game time.

It’s just dawned on me this morning that we’re now a team that other clubs come to desperately scrape a point from and are happy they’ve done it. That is utterly bizarre to me considering where we’ve come from in the last 10 years+.

The injury crisis he had at Leeds and didn’t whinge about would have crippled most clubs. I just think if they’d have held their nerve he’d continue to be better than Marsch.

Regardless of the result today I think Marsch is a bit of a fraud. If they’d just held their nerve with Bielsa and given him the money Marsch has had they’d be in a far better position and I know a lot of Leeds fans think the same. He seems to try hard to be every main coach in an American sports film and I’m not sure there’s a whole lot of substance behind it.

Agree. His wonder goals mask some awful defensive play in my opinion. He definitely downs tools when things aren’t going well. I’d love Jorginho though. Some of you are mental, he’d slot into that Shelvey role and like someone just mentioned it would allow Bruno to get forward more. Some of his assist and passing is incredible. His age and likely wages makes me think it’s bull though.

If we get any form of Europe I’ll be chuffed. It’s felt like a lifetime since we last qualified or looked like a team deserving to be there. I think it’s important to appreciate the moment though. There should be no expectation, no disappointment, literally just enjoy the exciting and aggressive football we’re playing. We’ve been hopeless and rudderless for so long. You can already see a few fans getting carried away talking about title races, dropped points and champions league. If investment continues all that will come. This is a unique season, just enjoy it.

Probably going to get pelters for this and maybe rightly so but I just don’t see where Maddison fits in our system. We don’t really play the 10 role. I know he’s had some success as a sort of wide right position but I don’t see him ahead of Miggy. I don’t think he’s aggressive/athletic enough to perform the role Longstaff and Willock play. He scores a lot of his goals from set pieces but so has Trippier for us. I think we’d be better off trying to invest in a proper Shelvey replacement or someone who can do the Longstaff/Willock role better allowing Bruno to get forward more. His stats have been really good but he’s such an awkward player to fit in. I think it’s why he didn’t really get any England time.

I wonder if the club will consider moving him on in January to avoid the automatic extension.

With Wilson out I’m not liking no ASM. Would much rather have gone for Joelinton in midfield with ASM wide but Howe knows what he’s doing. I still think we’ve got a good chance of winning.

Im sure this has been said before but unless he’s betting on games he’s playing in I think the rule is bizarre given so many clubs are sponsored by betting companies.
