  1. In fairness i didn't have them being this bad thought they'd be similar to last season solid not especially exciting but efficient. Not really sure how it's gone quite this wrong. Very rare you see a player go quite so quickly off the pace as casemiro
  2. Managers never survive ownership change and while it's not complete eth won't be ratcliffes man. Look at tuchel at Chelsea was given summer window then quickly dispensed with, will be ultimately be better off without uncertainty
  3. It's no coincidence that last year with no Europe we overperformed and arsenal not trying too hard in europa they did what they managed to do then now we are both finding it a lot tougher (as are Brighton) and spurs with no Europe are flying
  4. hell of a tilt on the Old Trafford pitch based on that pep guardiola cam lol
  5. I'm not going to get angry at him, Tripps has been consistently great but just got to be tiredness catching up to him, should get a sub off for rest and Livra but doubt will happen as soon as half time
  6. Yeah I love Pope for lots but he is very poor at coming out, wouldn't replace him super quickly but we do need an upgrade long term.
  7. Yeah maybe on second viewing. Anyway we are so fucking lucky
  8. Hmm I don't actually think it was a dive as it all happened in once movement, but I kinda think it was made by him being late to the ball so his foot gets swiped when he should have got ball, by the letter of law foul but absolutely not deserving of anything really as more than anything it's Schar being clumsy.
  9. Those shouldn't be penalties really, the punishment for that foul is waaaaay ott by being made into penalty but I'll take it lol
  10. I hate those being penalties tbh but how can they overrule it's also not a clear and obvious error as by law probably is lol
  11. His defence is as such, so it will take a lot more investigation before any decision comes down I suspect, or it will be clear he didn't and so a slap on the wrist. If he did bet on football he will get a much bigger ban but he would have to be really dumb so think it will be slap on the wrist
  12. Aaaah we gave it a go, they were really good, expecially on break. Got what we deserved for some dodgy defending. Going to avoid football for a bit now lol
  13. man Sheff United so bad harry Maguire gets motm against them, truly the lowest of the low

    Fabian Schär

He was underrated under Rafa too. the national press never pay any close attention to our teams at all, it sometimes feels like the further north you go the less time anyone spends watching. I remember when Sheffield United got absolutely lauded for playing a 3 at the back with two ball playing CBs basically stepping into midfield as if it was this super tactical genius move, and all I could think of was Rafa dropping Shelvey so a back 3 of Lejeune, Lascelles (who was mainly there to sweep up behind) and Schar stepped forward and provided a lot of the midfield creativity. Don't think I ever saw anyone give any credit to Lejeune or Schar, or indeed any comment on this system being at all strange. Willing to bet none of them noticed that Rafa wasn't playing his old 4-2-3-1 formation.
  15. Little bit of me (ok a large part of me) is welcome to being a normal fan of a normal football club, most are clownshows. In some ways I'd rather that than be a fan of a boringly run club like Crystal Palace, absolutely no ambition to do anything but suck up the premier league money no threat of a cup no threat of finishing top half of the league. At least Man U fans have the soap opera of it all. I have a little overall sympathy in terms of football being run by money men in general but really no genuine sympathy for man u fans. Fans are awful, heard on podcast about Man City fans tweeting about DONT WORRY THE CLUB WILL RISE AGAIN. Absolutely insufferable, and I dread our fans being like that after losing a couple of games
  16. I don't get Man U at all still. They're not intense in pressing, but they aren't technical enough to control the game or creative enough to make lots of goal attempts and they're not compact enough to be a counter attacking team. They are the most 'generic football team playing generic football' of all and sometimes have enough quality for that to be enough but I don't get what they are trying for?
  17. Still kinda in shock, it's not like I didn't rate him before he signed, I did, thought he was a very good right back even, but he's the best right back i've ever watched play for us by a distance, and what he brings to the team, and he's so fucking consistent. Ridiculous.
  18. I blame steve bruce for no particular reason
  19. I mean i think quite sensibly on redcafe they were talking about willingness to be coached, their players come thinking they are superstars and nothing to learn. having said that, that is why the big coaches get paid the big bucks surely.
  20. It's not that I'm surprised he's doing well, I always rated him a bit more than some I felt but it's the way he's seamlessly slot in. Sometimes Managers will praise players left on bench or training ground for their behind the scenes training out of politeness but you would't guess he'd played so little for the team.
  21. Went to look at them, saw "Schar couldn't even get a game under Bruce now look at him" eeerm there is a reason for that nothing to do with Schar or Howe
