  1. Not world class obviously but a comparison is Carroll who isn't fast by any means. If he stays, I think playing in the Championship to bang in a few goals and get some confidence will be massive for Mitro and will be a huge turning point in his career here, although I do maintain that playing another striker alongside him (maybe Armstrong) will relieve the pressure and isolation on him and also help. Can't see Rafa changing from 4-2-3-1 though unfortunately.
  2. I feel quite confident he'll stay, the only thing which gives me doubt is whether or not the club will agree to keep him on. He clearly wants to stay in England, he wants a project and a challenge and he loves it here. The fact that he has terminated the contracts of Obertan and Marv prior to the end of the season where they could be 'the next managers problem' who may want to keep them for the Championship speaks massive volumes IMO. No matter what the outcome he's evidently thinking ahead and I don't think you can put it down to blind faith that we would stay up as he definitely isn't that stupid.

To be far, without the points from us they'll most likely be down next season. Burnley, Mackems and Palace down next season.

    Papiss Cissé

I'd rather fuck him off, he's too disinterested and too old to serve us properly. Sell him and try to keep Mitro.
  5. Got a quid on 5-3 win for us with Mbemba getting the first goal at 4000/1. Got a good feeling about this one...
  6. Really? From what I've heard of Rafa he doesn't exactly bow down to a players ego and seems to have a preferance for everyone in his team to put a shift in to a certain extent. As much as I'd like to think otherwise, I don't think Rafa and Hatem would have got on particularly well, but he certainly wouldn't have chronically mismanaged him like Pardew did and let him go for nowt.
  7. Not when I'm in fucking work, man.
  8. He's performed exceptionally well considering the circumstances but there's no way in hell we should even consider him being our RB (or anywhere in the starting XI) next season. If we stay up anyway.
  9. Totally agree, when frequenting a lot of general football forums when I was younger I found the vast majority of Liverpool fans came across as twats. Always thought purely because of their history they're the greatest football club to ever grace the world and even when they were shite and taking a bit of stick (because they loved to dish it, but could never take it) was always to either kick off or just come back with "5 times lad" or some other shite. For that reason I never liked Liverpool and always enjoyed seeing them humbled. Since moving here a few years ago I've never came across anyone who is actually like that, their supporters are spot on - have nothing but kind words for geordies and for NUFC and generally they have all been spot on people. Like us they're all immensely passionate about their football and enjoying a pint or six too. I like to see them do well now and was actually quite gutted for them when they didn't get the title under Rodgers.
  10. Simeone hitting the fourth official!?
  11. Owen says that deflected strike from Alaba save was 'routine' when it's taken a huge deflection, keeper has all his weight on the wrong side prior to the deflection and a sea of bodies in front of him. How this cunt earns a living off commentary is beyond me.
  12. And earlier in the season in the 5-1 loss, Ashley just completely forgot that Pardew owed him money.
  13. What a stupid bint. "Should Palace beat Manchester United in the impending FA Cup final there could well be resounding cheers on Tyneside". Erm... nar.
  14. The idea of Rafa going to Everton I think is laughable, he loves Liverpool and their fans and his family live over there. I can't see him risking his reputation over there by going to Everton and after the 'small club' comment he just wouldn't be accepted by their fans. I personally think he's staying here whether we go down or not, especially with him releasing players such as Obertan and Marv early now instead of potentially leaving them for 'the next manager' to come in and decide if they want to keep them in the Championship when we start losing players.
  15. Can't believe this bloke has won a PL title. He couldn't even defend his VK's when I minesweeped him twice in one night in Whitley Bay back in '11.
  16. This. Although the hand is in a more 'obvious' position for handball, I don't see any contact. O'Neill(?) against us quite clearly handballed TWICE in the buildup to that winner. He's a fucking imbecile.
  17. Not at all. The quotes thing wasn't calling anyone out in any way, it was purely just to provide examples of where people had said that and KI appeared to call me out for bullshitting because I'm not one of the posters he likes to arselick on here.
  18. I just watched game of the day there and tbf he seemed involved quite a bit, certainly miles better than he has been for months.
  19. Unreal hypocrisy. You missed the full quote.
