Have to start by saying I hate Ashley and have give up on the club after what's gone on but if I was looking at it from the outside I'm not sure I'd think we were so shit tbh Dubs - top class Yedlin - pl level wing back Schar, Lascelles, Lejeune - outstanding back 3 Willems - potentially very good lwb Longstaff & Hayden - one of the best midfield pairs end of last season Almiron, Joelinton, Maximinim - potentially exciting front threeb with pace and movement Below that Manq, Dummet, Fernandez, Ki, Shelvey, Stay, Muto to name a few Long story short I don't think many clubs from below the top 10 or so would be looking at our playing staff and thinking they're trash ready for the taking. They will, however, be looking at the coaching staff and laughing their tits off. Similar to the McClaren season except Rafa has left us in a much, much better place than we were then. I think it will become clearly apparent how much Rafa was able to make these players be recognised in the same way you see them. Especially once our backs are against the wall.

With the chronic mismanagement of the club Joelinton will find himself in a similar position to Mitrovic when he first arrived. Probably worse, given the dire situation we find ourselves in now. We won't make a profit on him, given we'll go down without a fight.

Calling someone selfish for going to a football match is absolutely pathetic Selfish is putting it mildly though. There's a bigger picture and a potential end game here which requires a bit of sacrifice from fans in not actually going into the stadium (in the case of this season you could argue it's a service). Yet for no reason other than selfish reasoning people want to turn up. Don't give it the 'I want to support the team' bollocks, if there was a wedding or something else of importance than forced you to miss the game, you wouldn't be there. And the whole I don't support the regime... how can anybody with 2 brain cells to rub together not see that the 2 are completely interlinked? Going when Rafa was there was understandable, he was a beacon of hope and was the final chance for Ashley to either sell the club while the stock was high, or at least run it in a sustainable fashion that allowed us to have a team and a club to be proud of.
